12.01.2022 SA MX Championships was a great success for the PLMCC riders. 10 riders proudly represented our club. MX 1 Pro class was represented by Siegah Ward (Club Captain) and Mitch Norris. Mitch rode fast and consistent which earned him a 2nd placing for the series. Siegah rode with great skill and determination sitting in 3rd for the series but unfortunately in the last round he got an injury which resulted in finishing 10th overall for the championship. Top effort to these two ri...ders, always brilliant to watch. Veterans B Class was represented by two of our club captains Adam Mclean and Clint Letton. These two riders had an absolute ball with a friendly rivalry throughout the series. Both were riding for a podium finish. Adam finished 2nd for the championship and Clint finished 4th overall. Congratulations on a great series of riding. 250 4st 13-U16yrs was represented by Jack Lienert. This boy loves his 250 and rides with great speed and is one to watch in the future. He rode very consistently finishing 6th overall, also a top effort for his first year participating. 125cc 13-U16yrs was represented by Banjo Lawrence and Jack Lienert. Both new riders to this class. These two also had a friendly rivalry, both taking turns of being on each other’s tail. During the series they both had some mishaps and crashes but mostly consistent and exciting racing. It was good mate-ship racing both finishing with a draw in 8th position overall. Well done boys. 65cc 10-U12 yrs and 85cc 9-U12yrs was represented by Koby Miller. Koby rode the last round of the series. He had absolute cracker starts in every race and fought hard all day, finishing 11th overall for the 65cc class and 17th overall for the 85cc class. A great effort and result for only doing one round. 65cc 7-9yrs was represented by Kylan Miller and Declan Smart. They both showed great skill and determination and thoroughly loved this level of competition. Kylan finished 9th overall and Declan finishing 1st overall. Fantastic effort boys. 50cc 7-U9yrs was represented by 3 of our little legends Kylan Miller, Tao Letton and Declan Smart. This was a big class of 21 riders. Kylan rode exceptionally well also scoring many hole shots over the series which saw him take the podium 3rd overall. Tao also had a cracker start to the series sitting in 5th position. In the last round he had a couple of stacks that cost his positioning and finished 8th overall. Declan is almost in a league of his own and rode very fast and consistent to get a podium 1st overall. Keep an eye on these 3 riders in years to come. Congratulations to all PLMCC riders on such a triumph effort. We are all so proud of you. A big shout out to the other EP participants and your achievements. We always look forward to sharing these events with you. Photos: Eric McConnochie (we all look forward to his professional photos)
