21.01.2022 Would you like to complete something new over the holiday period? Why not do the Sport Australia Community Coaching General Principles course. It takes approxim...ately four hours. The course is free of charge for people with an Australian postal address and is subsidised by the Australian Sports Commission to encourage beginner officials to undertake training. The course is aimed at first time and beginner coaches (eg. parents) and is a requirement for all our PCA NCAS Preliminary Coaches. There is assessment included within each module. Learners who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate and have their details recorded on the Australian Sports Commission’s national coaching database. https://www.sportaus.gov.au/coaches_and_officials/coaches AIS Sport Australia #coaching #riders #parents #volunteers #clubs #ponyclubaus #belearning #helpyourclub #coaches #officials #pcancas #pathways

01.01.2022 We hope that you can look back on 2020 and see some positives from a year we won't forget. COVID-19 threw a spanner in the works for many of you, and you all fo...und different ways to cope, including online activities and learning shared by your club or PCA. Many of you embraced our 'Plan-B' online activities, including our National Online Quiz rounds, 10,000 Steps Challenge and photo competition. Sales of the Certificate manuals rose, so many of you kept up with your theory study. We took some time to set up a new website, with many more resources for Members and Clubs. Many of you tried new things - our Discipline of the Month was popular and we enjoyed seeing your photos trying out polocrosse, stockman's challenge, tentpegging and more. These and other resources are now all on our website. www.ponyclubaustralia.com.au Some of you faced fires in what has become known as 'Black Summer'; others faced floods or other threats to homes and grounds. The PCA team wishes everyone a safe, successful, and happy New Year and we look forward to bringing you more stories and resources and sharing your achievements in 2021. #ponyclubproud #alifewithhorsesstartshere #2020inreview #ponyclubin2020
