25.01.2022 Can't hide the joy of his first water landing! next step, the Fireboss?!!! Welcome to the #barefootpilots club Dave #floatplane #seaplane #cessna #agpilots

18.01.2022 Port Macquarie seaplanes recently lost its much loved and respected Judy Johnson (Hodge) to Cancer. We grieve at the passing of an exceptional accomplished individual and our thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones. Judy will be very much missed by all that knew her. Port Macquarie Seaplanes will be operating and taking to the skies again mid to end of June. We will also be holding a Cancer Fundraiser in the near future in memory of Judy.... Fly high and RIP Judy

13.01.2022 Whale, who would've thought we'd be lucky enough to catch these three stragglers frolicking off the coast today! The little guy not too coordinated yet as he tried to follow the adults breaching and tail slapping! Thank you to Larry & Laith for the pics. #floatplane #seaplane #barefootpilots #whalewatching #whale #iloveportmacquarie @ Port Macquarie, New South Wales

08.01.2022 "Why is Judy flying so low over town?" Alas, it is not Judy but another plane putting out fires in our local area! We're grateful for the work they do even though our phones are ringing non-stop

06.01.2022 'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse The stockings were hung by the chimney with care In h...opes that Santa would soon be there The kids are supposed to be nestled all snug in their beds And dreaming of drones flying no higher than 400 feet through the skies in their heads Getting or buying someone special a #drone this #Christmas? Have fun but remember to follow the rules and fly responsibly. More information available at www.droneflyer.gov.au #flysafe #flysmart #flyresponsibly

05.01.2022 Ten years ago the Catalina VH-CAT flew into Port Macquarie en route from Portugal to Bankstown - what a day it was!

04.01.2022 It's Christmas! Why give something that may offer a few minutes of amusement, only to end up in landfill? Give an experience that will be a lifetime memory! #christmas #gift #seaplane #floatplane #portmacquarie #visitnsw #avgeek

04.01.2022 Meet Sam - the newest member of our team! Welcome #portmacquarie #seaplane #floatplane #commercialpilot #barefootpilots #avgeek #dreamjob

03.01.2022 Meeting one of your sporting idols is one thing, but taking to the skies with them above Port Macquarie is another. 15 year old Anneliese Cains watched on as he...r favourite triathlete Laura Siddall took out the pro race in the 2018 IRONMAN in Port Macquarie, then was fortunate enough to have her own personal meet and greet, before checking out her local town from the sky. There's no other way to take in the beauty of this place. An absolute must-do. A huge thank you to Judy from Port Macquarie Seaplanes for showing them around. Wilson Visuals

02.01.2022 Pilot Craig Patton from Pay’s Air Service Scone and the Air Tractor 802 Fire Boss aircraft played a crucial role in stopping the fire's advance along Ocean Driv...e towards Lake Cathie yesterday. The ability to deliver large volumes of water with a quick turn around time is crucial in slowing an advancing fire the likes of which we saw yesterday. Craig Patton, a pilot with more than 20,000 hours' flying experience in many aircraft types, praises the Air Tractor 802 Fire Boss he is now flying. The $3.8 million aircraft scoops up 3000 litres of water in eight seconds as it skims across the water powered by a 1700hp Pratt and Whitney motor. The Air Tractor flies at 240kph and can deliver 80,000 to 90,000 litres of water to a fire in an hour. #NSWRFS, Fire Boss LLC (Photos courtesy of Cleavers Images and NSW RFS)
