25.01.2022 Port Pirie SES needs your support and will be holding an Open Day for people to see what our amazing volunteers do to support the community of Port Pirie and surrounds. 24.01.2022 We are aware that much of the state has currently lost power due to the extreme weather across South Australia. At this stage we do not know when it will be res...tored. Our crews are responding to multiple calls for assistance as a result of the winds causing trees to fall and damage to buildings. The bands on rain is also causing localised flooding as they pass. If you have requested assistance, please bear with us as we work through the requests which are being regularly reassessed and prioritised. If you no longer require SES assistance, please call 132500 and advise our communications team that the job can be cancelled.

23.01.2022 Hi unit manager leeanne from clare state emergency service Just letting everyone no that we will be having a awareness day on the 10th of October from 10 to 1...2am out the front of Chemmart main road clare. We are trying to get volunteers for our unit in clare, we are down to 7 members which is making it very hard, if we dont have a crew and an accident occurs it could take up to 30 to 40 minutes delay for another crew to be called out so we are asking for our community to help us find more volunteers. Please also u can call me, unit manager leeanne on 0408423455 for more information See more

20.01.2022 Sometimes we just don't say it enough. Thank you to all our amazing SES volunteers and also to their families and employers who allow them to disappear at short notice to go and help those in need. Thank you! #WOWDay

08.01.2022 The capacity of the Port Pirie SES has been strengthened this month with six new recruits qualified in Rescue Operations. All new members have had intensive tra...ining in rescue techniques used by the SES in its continued support of the Port Pirie Emergency Services and wider community. This added member base will increase capacity and reduce response times. This training compliments recent certification of a licensed coxswain for the Sea Angel rescue boat, two new MR truck driving licenses and three new chainsaw operator certifications recently acquired by SES members. The Port Pirie SES will be conducting training in Storm Damage Operations and Swiftwater Rescue in the coming months which will again strengthen the Port Pirie SES’s ability to maintain a safer community. SES is proud to welcome its newest members and looks forward to helping them increase their ability to conduct safe and swift operations when and where required. See more
