20.01.2022 LOOK AT OUR LEARNING Room 20 have been super lucky to have Miss Scollin come in to do some problem solving lessons with us. In one lesson we learnt to solve problems with 2D shapes. We were challenged to make different kinds of 2D shapes using a piece of string. We had to compare what made our shapes the same or different. In another lesson, we learnt about sharing amounts. We pretended to have a teddy bear picnic. We had drinks, plates and ‘food’ at our picnic. We had to share everything fairly and equally.
20.01.2022 Public schools, preschools and children’s centres will reopen to all students on Monday 23 November. While OSHC is able to operate as usual, families should check with their OSHC service whether it will run a service on Monday. We look forward to having children back on Monday!

06.01.2022 , . It's officially National NAIDOC Week, and this year’s theme is Always Was, Always Will Be. It's about recognising that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. The First Peoples engraved the world’s first maps, made the earliest paintings of ceremony and invented unique technologies. They also built and engineered structures predating well-known sites such as the Egyptian Pyramids and Stonehenge.... To learn more about the theme, visit: www.naidoc.org.au or follow National NAIDOC. #NAIDOC2020 #NAIDOCWeek XMA Header Image NAIDOC naidoc.org.au

02.01.2022 What is your favourite board game that? Here is Miss Scollin playing Frogs Feeding Frenzy with her nephew. They had lots of fun but also did some Maths. They had to touch count the amount of balls they collected, work out who had more and who had less and they sorted them into colours. Comment or post a picture below with your family’s favourite board game.
01.01.2022 At this time in South Australia it is not mandatory, but it is strongly recommended to wear a mask when out in public and you can’t physically distance (1.5m fr...om others). Please note: children under 12 years of age do not need to wear a mask, as they may not be able to handle it safely. The term ‘face mask or mask’ includes reusable cloth masks, and single-use face masks (commonly called surgical masks). At this time, ‘fitted’ face coverings, such as bandanas, scarves, or neck gaiters can be used if you are unable to find a cloth mask, or single-use surgical face mask. Face masks that have unfiltered one-way valves should not be used. Important things to remember about wearing masks: 1 Once your mask is on, it is important that you don’t touch or adjust the front of it while wearing it it’s the part that’s protecting you from COVID-19. If you do touch it by accident, wash or sanitise your hands right away. 2 Before putting your mask on and after taking it off, remember to thoroughly wash and dry (or sanitise) your hands.
