07.01.2022 The Port Sorell Golf Club has recently been advised of the passing of Tom Gannon, who was one of the early stalwarts of the club. In 1985 Tom Gannon in conjunction with Bob Taylor purchased the Shearwater Resort and converted it to Timeshare. They offered the golf club a lease arrangement with a new clubhouse in exchange for their timeshare owners to have free use of the course during their timeshare week. The clubhouse was officially opened on 24 July 1988. The Board and... Members thank Tom for his foresight as members are still enjoying this great facility. As a mark of respect to Tom Gannon the club will fly our flag at half mast on Tuesday 10 November.

01.01.2022 What a great day was had at PSGC last Saturday. The day began with the annual footy colours breakfast which this year was held over two sittings because of COVID restrictions. After golf, an afternoon tea was held to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Club, with several inaugural members present (Anthony Maney, Beaver Reeves, Harry Skledar, John Bowden, Malcolm Clark, Graham Lee, Pat Halley, Jo Bowden, & Rosemary Oliver). Club patrons Malcolm Clark and Pat Halley cut the anniversary cake. A big thank you to the Social Committee, a small band of very committed club members for a wonderful day
