24.01.2022 Hi Athletes Thanks to everyone who has got in touch with us about participating in Club Relay Day this Saturday. Athletics SA have made the following announcement about the event: After receiving feedback from some clubs, as well as the wider athletics community, we have decided to change the format of this weekend’s Club Relay Day. The reason’s for these changes are to assist engaging more club athletes by offering individual events and also to eliminate the cost and ‘pre-e...vent’ organisation required by clubs. The changes that were made are as follows: Removal of the 4x400m and Distance Medley Relay. Addition of 200m and 1500m to the start of the program (individual events athletes to register online: https://www.athleticssa.com.au/events/80990/) Remove requirement for club to pre-register teams (Teams to be registered in Function Room 1 hour before event start) Remove fees associated with relays. (Only fees charged will be for those registering for individual events) For the 2 relay events, there will still be age group splits (U14, U16, U18, Open, O35) with athletes allowed to compete up age groups to fill teams. The Swedish relay is still mixed with teams to be made up of 2 males and 2 females. Port Adelaide Athletics Club will press ahead with pre-selecting of teams for 2x100m and Mixed Swedish Medley. Hopefully runners who prefer checking the scenery by doing more than 1 lap will be catered for with the individual 1500m. For those happy with 400m or less we will try to put you in teams. I anticipate we can announce some teams by Thursday and as stated above we can also create teams on the day. Keep your nominations coming in for 2x100m or the Swedish Medley (100, 200, 300, 400m). Email [email protected] Thanks Ian Burge PAAC Chairperson

During this pandemic, the childr...en and families we support remain at the heart of everything we do, and more than ever before, it’s so important that we help them end 2020 on a brighter note. With your help, we are aiming to support 32,550 Australian families with children living in disadvantage for the 2020 Toy & Book Appeal. 04.01.2022 Dear Members Information regarding the Athletics SA Club Relay Day on this Saturday 14th of November. This is a new event on the Athletics SA calendar and it slots into the time of the season when State Relay Championships have been held in the past. State Relay Championships have been scheduled for Saturday February 13th 2021, so this weekend’s Club Relay Day is not a replacement but rather an extra event. The focus is on fun and participation, no medals are on offer. We wil...l try and get every PAAC athlete, who wishes to compete, placed in a team. There is no Interclub this Saturday and the only individual non relays are some field events mentioned below. Athletes will register individually for those events link available shortly. TEAM COMPOSITION: Teams will be split by gender (except for the Swedish relay) and age group for all relays. The age groups will be the same as Interclub - U14, U16, U18, Open (incorporating U20) and O35 (incorporating O50). Athletes are eligible to compete up age groups. REGISTRATIONS: Club will be asked to register teams by midnight Thursday 12th. PAAC are calling all athletes who would like to participate to respond by email no later than midnight Tuesday 10th November. Please state the athletes: name age group relays legs prepared to run PAAC will cover the entry fee for each team but we do not want to pay for teams that don’t end up competing. Please make a decision on participation and stick by it. email - [email protected] Thanks Ian Burge Chairperson PAAC

Go well Port Adelaide Football Club may we both be Premiers. Interclub 1 - Saturday October 17
