25.01.2022 The town was packed with people celebrating Australia Day 2020 and enjoying the activities on offer. Here is a taste of the day. Portarlington has much more to offer in 2020 and beyond. Bellarine Show (March), Celtic Festival (June), Mussel Festival (Jan 2021).

24.01.2022 Just an update from the Donation to the Portarlington CFA post. The food sold at the BBQ was also donated. Woolworths Portarlington donated the sausages and sauce while the Portarlington Bakehouse donated the bread. We have some fantastically generous businesses in Portarlington.

19.01.2022 Hi to all those following the Portarlington Community Information Booth's Facebook Page. Due to the risk of the Corona Virus to our volunteers as well as acting responsibly within our community we have closed the information booth. Key visitor information will be displayed in the booth's windows and we will regularly update this. We will review our decision to close the booth towards the end of April and advise if the situation changes. Please stay safe. PCIB Board of Management.

18.01.2022 Portarlington CFA Fire Brigade receives a donation from a local Bush Fires BBQ Fundraiser. Mums and dads from The Portarlington Primary School undertook a fund raising BBQ outside Woolworths Portarlington on Sunday raising $1,200 for the CFA. The fund raiser was undertaken by Carry Raby, Eli Wright, Candice Lacey, Sarah Evans, Bec Pavez, Bec Buchanan, Gabrielle May, Nicole & Ian Pigdon Wood and Briony Jefferies. This is another great effort demonstrating the generosity in our community.

09.01.2022 Music and a dog fashion parade around the Rotunda to celebrate Australia Day in Portarlington 2020 . The highlight of our music presentation will be Bianna Ekberg, a fantastic local talent, singing from 11.15am. Preceding Bianna is our very popular dog fashion parade conducted by Woofers and Walkers. Entries in the dog fashion parade are possible on the day from 9.45am (See posters around town). Our celebration starts with the popular Portarlington Harmonica Band from 9.15am. While at the Portarlington Market or in town come and join in the fun and entertainment around the Rotunda, Newcombe Street.

04.01.2022 More than $13,000 raised by Portarlington Business Development Association Fire Fighters Fund Raiser appeal yesterday in Portarlington. Starting on Friday as an idea by Daniels Donuts and the PBDA to raise money for the Bush Fires Appeal various sponsors and community groups came together yesterday to hold a BBQ and fund raiser. The sausage sizzle and free donut for a donation was held outside Daniels Donuts Portarlington with collection buckets also outside Portarlington Woo...lworths, Grand Hotel, Port Bakehouse and other locations in town. Major sponsors and community organisations involved were - Daniels Donuts, Woolworths Portarlington, Portarlington Golf Club, Portarlington Bakehouse, Grand Hotel, Portarlington & St Leonards RSL Sub Branch, Portarlington and Drysdale Lions Club, Portarlington Fire Brigade all helped by many community volunteers. This is a fantastic initiative enabling the community members and visitors to Portarlington to help our fellow Australians in time of need. Well done to Portarlington. See more
