25.01.2022 G’day parkrunners...Hope you’re all keeping warm and dry in this cool rainy weather! We’ve had a request from someone looking for social running groups in town... please comment if you’re involved in a group... Social groups are important for motivation and support, and of course when we return to parkrun days it’s a great way to help each other get back into the groove!

24.01.2022 Hi everyone, as u might know, some of SAs Covid-19 restrictions have begun to be lifted as from today, including regional travel and outdoor sports training. So there is definitely some movement towards parkrun resuming wohoo !! However, the decision to restart parkrun is made centrally by UK & Australian office rather than local level, so right now we are still on hold! We will let u know as soon as this changes, but theres likely to be a week or 2 between the announcement to restart & the actual next event. Stay tuned for further updates!

06.01.2022 Good read Who else is missing parkrun?

05.01.2022 Did you know we had a birthday on 23rd June? How quickly time flies! Whilst we didnt get the chance to have a special run to celebrate turning two, we wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the people who have been involved in parkrun Port Augusta since since its beginning in 2018. To our volunteers, supporters, participants, followers, travellers and everyone who has been an advocate for parkrun we say thank you. Port Augusta parkrun wouldnt be what it ...is today without you. Whilst COVID has meant we havent been able to see you all and celebrate the parkrun we know and love, it hasnt stopped many of you from still kicking your fitness goals and enjoying the parkrun path on your own or with friends. Keep up your enthusiasm! We know that there is probably still a road ahead until we reach the point of re-launch, but dont forget that (not)parkrun is currently happening around the world... not sure what (not)parkrun is? Check out the link below see the latest submissions and a blurb on what this new concept is... We will continue to share updates and news as we receive it from parkrun HQ, until then be safe everyone and take care. See more

04.01.2022 This week’s update on parkrun & Covid:

03.01.2022 Pt Augusta parkrun will be back one day! (but most likely not until after Covid settles interstate). One thing i really enjoy about parkrun is the community, look forward to catching up as a group again. So keep walking & running meanwhile, check out & record your own not-parkrun which then get displayed on the normal results page. The face to face community will be back post-Covid!
