08.01.2022 DATE CHANGE - due to the uncertainty concerning the December 1st updates to COVID-19 restrictions and community sporting fixtures we have made the decision to RESCHEDULE 'Up in the Eyre' to the following weekend the 12th and 13th of December. The time line between the restrictions being revised on the 1st of December and our event planned for the 5th and 6th of December was just too short for organizers to comfortably work with. ENTRIES WILL REOPEN TODAY ON SWIM CENTRAL. ... We thank the Ryan Mitchell Swim Centre in Port Augusta for their flexibility in accommodating our change of date request. Please note that the event is still subject to restrictions on community sport being removed on December 1st. Check the terms and conditions of any of your accommodation bookings to ensure that in the event that we need to cancel the event that you will have the flexibility to recoup your booking. Here's hoping that there are no further COVID concerns that will impact the running of our event! There will be changes to Port Augusta’s day 1 meet. Further updates will be sent shortly.

01.01.2022 National Volunteer Week (18-24 May 2020) is upon us. This year we are thanking all volunteers with the #ColourYourCommunityRed campaign. ‘Colour Your Community... Red’ is an online social media campaign to thank and celebrate the almost one million South Australian volunteers. It replaces the annual launch of National Volunteer Week’s parade and BBQ in Adelaide thank you event, due to COVID-19 restrictions. Swimmers join us and encourage everyone from Silver City Swim Club to Southern Performance Swimming Club to Port Augusta Swimming Club and every Club in between to spend this week acknowledging and thanking your volunteers. Volunteers stand up and be loud and proud! You do an amazing amount of work in the community and bring us together in tough times. Light up or decorate your house or pool to ‘spread the red’ from 18-24 May 2020. Tie a ribbon, scarf, table cloth or even a tea towel around your letterbox, fence or tree take a picture or a video, post it to show how great it is to be or know a volunteer. Tag @Volunteering SA&NT & @swimmingsa #SAvolunteer #colouryourcommunityred
