22.01.2022 This image from the brilliantly talented @spirelphotographic perfectly captured just how beautiful these two are and gave next level ‘specialness’ to my final wedding of 2020. #portcoastalweddings #loveyourlove

18.01.2022 All eyes right (or almost all!) as the bride makes her entry. The delightful, and much adored, Flower Girl on the end was a great distraction for sure. #stealingthespotlight #lovethatprincess #portcoastalweddings #loveyourlove

13.01.2022 Today, instead of officiating wedding ceremonies, I was busy in the Hunter Valley meeting with fellow celebrants to share ideas and update the latest protocols and generally being inspired by industry colleagues. COVID featured of course. Meetings with two amazing couples and prepping for their 2021 weddings as well. Gotta love a meeting. #portcoastalweddings #midnorthcoastcelebrant #huntervalleycelebrant #loveyourlove

11.01.2022 Today we are talking cake... Yay or Nah? Traditionally cutting the cake is a pivotal part of a wedding reception but do we really need it? Why do we have cakes at weddings you ask? Is it just for a photo op or does it serve a higher purpose than an easy dessert? Well we hear at @portcoastalweddings did a deep dive so you don’t have too! ... In Roman times, grains of wheat represented fertility and were thrown at the newly married to ensure fruitfulness. Similar traditions involving loaves of grain were used in Ancient Greece to promote prosperity and fertility. But as weddings evolved, the wheat was eventually baked into cakes! Those wheat cakes morphed into the more traditional cakes we see today. Over the years, as a sign of prosperity, families began to stack the cakes. Of course today some couples forgo the wedding cake, pairing a small cutting cake with alternative desserts like cupcakes, macaroons and donuts to name a few. Traditions such as keeping the top tier to eat for an anniversary, feeding each other or even having a white marzipan fruit cake are truely up to you and your freezer space. But it’s also okay to not have cake! Yes it’s a tradition that has kept through modern times but like any part of your wedding it’s your day done your way

10.01.2022 Getting busy writing scripts for my 2021 ceremonies and drawing total inspiration from this fabulous 2020 couple. Thanks @urbanphotograpy for these beautiful pictures. #portcoastalweddings #loveyourlove #2021wedding

03.01.2022 Keeping an eye on renegade balloons! #hensluncheon #portcoastalweddings #loveyourlove

02.01.2022 A spontaneous burst of laughter in the middle of vows caught me right off guard at first. Focussing hard on the ‘next line’ looks like serious business!! This wedding was personal which made it extra special. Congratulations Mr&Mrs Nixon and welcome to the clan Todd. #family #grandniece #portcoastalweddings #loveyourlove

01.01.2022 This beautiful pair are definitely couples goals. Jess looked amazing and her something blue footwear was cause of much shoe envy. The groom was rightly overwhelmed. Congratulations Mr&Mrs Yates. #portcoastalweddings #loveyourlove

01.01.2022 Sailing, windsurfing, SUPing, body surfing, sandcastle building, lazing, dog walking. Must be summertime. Oh joy, oh bliss. #portmacquarie #midnorthcoastnsw
