23.01.2022 It has been a bit quiet lately - so perhaps we can post a few photos of winter activities! This one was a team playing at Berri in beautiful sunshine, Great weather, great company but bowls results could have been better!

17.01.2022 In December, members managed a sausage sizzle at Bunnings, with proceeds to be donated to Fleurieu Cancer Support. Today, President Maryanne McGill presented a cheque for $1000 to the Secretary, Heather Burns. Heather advised that the funds will go to fuel and maintenance of the three vehicles used by the Support Group to transport local people needing treatment for cancer to and from Flinders and other hospitals. The service operates 5 days a week and 51 weeks a year. Well done PEBC members for initiating, managing and supporting the sausage sizzle. Apologies for the initial publishing of this which said the service operates '1' week a year. Not so!! It is 51 weeks a year.

15.01.2022 Men's Seafood Day - another great tournament with greens full and members from 17 clubs represented. The winning team were Wayne Mack's Modbury team, including Jack Cowles, Bernie Scott & our own Dennis Wright. Sponsor Phil Dodd (Dodd & Page Real Estate and Holiday Rentals) presented prize money. Other sponsors were Bridgestone Tyres, Carpet Court, Gary Fox, Angove Wine. Thanks to sponsors and everyone involved in making it a great day.

12.01.2022 Aussie Day Fun at PEBC- The place to be for Fun, laughter and a good day of bowls! (the latter was better for some than others. There was a good Aussie lunch of Pea and Ham Soup with pie floater, Sausage/onion burger/fruit and icce cream - and to top it off, Lamingtons dressed up with strawberry and cream - what better place to sped Australia Day than PEBC. Players competed for the annual Bridgwood Trophy (donated by Sue and Roger Bridgwood, and now in it's tenth year. This year's winners were Ian Herron (probably for the third consecutive year), Lynne & Graham Trenerry and Lyn Mole getting the team off to a good start with bowl on Jack most ends! Well done winners.

10.01.2022 Two new life memberships were awarded at the AGM. Marijane Mellor for many years contribution to programs, selection, purchasing, bar support and ambassadorship for PEBC, AND Phil Beckett also for many years contribution particularly to management of club finances and selection. CONGRATULATIONS and well done Marijane and Phil.

08.01.2022 PEBC members make another contribution toward fighting Cancer. A fundraising Bowling Game run on 24 February raised over $1,000 for the Jodie Lee Bowel Cancer Foundation. 50 members participated in the game and entry fees and funds from raffles and auctions will all benefit the Foundation. Sponsors helped by donating raffle and cash. Special thanks to South Coast Realty, and to our major sponsor, Dodd & Page Real Estate and Rentals for donation of a holiday package worth $600 for auction. Your help and participation was most appreciated.
