22.01.2022 Get out and about in Adelaide these holidays! https://kidsinadelaide.com.au/adelaide-school-holidays-july/

17.01.2022 Even though the ‘wheel of normality’ is cranking back up slowly.. we still recommend getting out and about in nature as the best activity! Check out these walks and hikes for some options you may not have heard about.

15.01.2022 ~ our sharing circle ~ This was developed a few years ago in partnership with Ngarrindjeri elders and is very meaningful to us. Developing the language was not something that happened in one meeting. It took many months of yarning - listening and talking to build a statement that holds the right sentiment, is meaningful and also age appropriate for our Kindy children to say.... We begin each day with this and we strongly value the opportunity we have to shape children’s ownership and understanding of the value of these words. Not only are the words themselves important but the ideas and discussion that flow from them are too. We explore questions like: Who are the Ngarrindjeri people? Why are we thanking them? Are the Ngarrindjeri people in the past or the present and future too? What does respect mean? What does reconciliation mean? What are the differences between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people? What’s the same? Are all Aboriginal people brown skinned? Does it matter what colour a person’s skin is? These are the BIG questions. The children who come through our doors are a powerful force for our nation’s future. We partner with them to discover answers to their questions and clarify their thinking. This is our meaningful work. To grow learners who listen and listeners who learn. We partnered with Amanda Westley on this project.
