25.01.2022 Welcome to Rev Ian Dow (Centre) Regional Minister for the Southern Presbytery of SA, visiting Port Elliot Uniting Church this morning. Left Rev Bill Harris, congregational member and on right Lorna Jones, Secretary of the Church. We were pleased to meet Rev Ian’s children who shared in the worship service with us.

07.01.2022 PORT ELLIOT UNITING CHURCH TEMPORARY CLOSURE For all our Congregation and friends, COVID-19 has been declared an international pandemic by the World Health Organization and a public health emergency by the South Australian Government. Maintaining social distancing is one of the major protective measures against the spread of COVID-19. The Uniting Church Synod have advised the The Port Elliot Uniting Church to close the Church for worship services until further notice. 06.01.2022 Congratulations to Anne & Alfred Smith members of the Port Elliot Uniting Church, celebrating their special Wedding Anniversary with Rev Lewis Kelsall at morning cuppa. Rev Lewis married them 30 years ago at Brighton Uniting Church.

04.01.2022 Further easing of Step 2 restrictions in South Australia have been announced: INTERSTATE TRAVEL From midnight 16 June 2020: Travellers entering South Aust...ralia directly from Western Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory will no longer be required to quarantine for 14 days. For those currently in quarantine who arrived directly from WA, TAS and the NT can end their quarantine from midnight 16 June, regardless of how long they have been in SA. Travellers arriving from all other states and territories will still be required to quarantine for 14 days . Quarantine requirements for other states and territories will be eased on 20 July. INDOOR GROUP FITNESS CLASSES From Friday 19 June 2020: If space only allows for 1 person 4 square metres, indoor group fitness classes remain limited to 10 people. If space allows for 1 person per 7 square metres, indoor group fitness classes can have up to 20 people.

02.01.2022 Zimbabwe was the country chosen this year for World Day of Prayer, held at Resthaven Port Elliot on Tuesday 2nd of March. Pictured Rev Anne Butler Chaplain at Resthaven and minister at Port Elliot Uniting Church. The second picture is by artist Nonhlanhla Mathe, her picture depicts the history of Zimbabwe with the woman standing arms outstretched raised in joy inviting and embracing change. The picture shows a dark difficult past to a more prosperous and promising future. Images of love, healing and reconciliation are across the bottom of her picture.
