25.01.2022 Limited Tee Times Available - There are a handful of tee times left for our Stableford Club Competition this Saturday 2nd of January. Please contact the Pro Shop ASAP to not miss out!

25.01.2022 Starting from this week, members guests and visitors with active golf link numbers are invited to join the Port Fairy Golf Club Saturday competition field! 25.01.2022 New 18th Tee! - For the first time during tomorrow’s competition the all new 18th Super Tee will be in play. (Water feature included!) The Greens Staff were busy building and preparing the new Tee Box during the initial closures earlier this year. We are all keen to see how it plays creating a new challenge and a new visual for the men tomorrow. It will be business as usual for the women’s tee on 18. Now, fingers crossed for some pleasant weather........

24.01.2022 Golf Returns - The Port Fairy Golf Club will reopen tomorrow (Friday the 4th of June) in accordance with Golf Australia guidelines. Due to large restrictions surrounding the numbers of players allowed on course and no competition play, timesheets have been amended and will reopen to Port Fairy Members for bookings tomorrow morning. With limits of only 50 players on the course at one time, a member-only policy will be in place until further notice. 23.01.2022 Riddell Cup Winner - Congratulations to Derryn Coulson. Derryn (pictured with Club Captain Peter Redford) has won the 2020 Riddell Cup edging out Luke Dwyer by 3 shots. The owner of one very smooth swing, Derryn has played some very consistent and solid golf this year to take the honours. Well done Derryn!

23.01.2022 Flooding Update - No that’s not the Loch Ness Monster - It’s the bridge over the burn. The car park also remains flooded along with ground water on various fairways and greens. Skenes / Woodbine Rd remains closed meaning there is no access to the club at all. The Course is closed until further notice.

23.01.2022 The view from behind the 3rd green looking back across the 16th fairway to Killarney beach. When you consider all of the holes at Port Fairy that give you a glimpse or a full panoramic view of the Southern Ocean, it truly is a wonderful place to play golf. We hope we’re back here soon!

17.01.2022 On a slightly drier and more garden friendly day last week, long-standing PFGC member Leigh Fary brought his team of horticulture students from South West TAFE for a working bee at the club. Together this fantastic crew planted out the area between the 2nd and 17th with Native Species they had grown themselves from seeds gathered locally. A great new look for the club and a wonderful endeavour to upkeep and improve the course with all local flora! Thanks to everyone involved!

16.01.2022 COURSE CLOSED - Unfortunately Skenes/Woodbine Rd remains closed to traffic. The Port Fairy Golf Club is also CLOSED . The water on the fairways and greens appears to have slightly subsided however the road and car park are still heavily flooded. We will keep you informed of updates.

15.01.2022 WE ARE OPEN! - Skenes Rd is now open which means we are open! Please take care as you enter the car park as there is still substantial ground water as you enter. Please park on the asphalt and NOT on the grass!

13.01.2022 CALL PRESS SHOCK - Today at Port Fairy Golf Club we were very lucky to have two paramedics from Ambulance Victoria join us at the Links for a great reason. Port Fairy Golf Club member Woody and colleague Jo were on hand to educate members on what to do if confronted with a cardiac arrest situation. They did a wonderful job explaining the importance of correct CPR and early access to an AED (defibrillator) no matter where you are in the community. Now we know that nearly 40 of... our playing members have an understanding of how important these life saving measures are and how to react in what would be a very stressful situation. Thank you so much to Ambulance Victoria and to Jo and Woody for giving us their time all afternoon to educate the staff and members. You do wonderful work in our community and sporting clubs and we thank you so much for your contribution! See more

09.01.2022 After receiving more than a months rain in 2 days, Port Fairy, Victoria has had one of its worst floodings in over 20 years according to the State Emergency Ser...vice. Today we went and captured footage of a variety of locations throughout the town. Check out the video below to see the wide-scale flooding from a unique aerial perspective.

07.01.2022 Winners are Grinners! - Congratulations to Vicki Johnstone, Robyn Holcombe and Sue Stevenson. Today these three happy golfers won the 2020 Women’s Matchplay Championships at Port Fairy Golf Club. Vicki Johnstone won the A Grade final defeating Di Robinson and capped off her Club Championship season in style! Robyn Holcombe took out the B Grade final defeating Club Captain Di Grieves and Sue Stevenson won C Grade beating Helen Dwyer in their final. Congratulations to the winners, runners up and all the competitors in 2020!

07.01.2022 The 10th green at Port Fairy overlooking the Belfast Lough. A sloping left to right fairway makes the 10th a tricky hole particularly when it blows from the west. 320 metres for the men and 282 from the women’s tee. You may well lose your ball down the hill but it’s a pretty nice view from the green when you get there!

The undulating hilly fairway complete with deep bunkers makes this hole a test in any condition. Firing your final approach to a raised green is never easy this close to an ocean breeze..You’ve got to love links golf!
