25.01.2022 Turbo having a go jumping a fire

25.01.2022 A convincing win to PHCC tonight, Wayne Mac took to the bowlers to get a hundred on his second bat for the club, Brayden Pilkington got two wickets on his bowling debut and Chris stepped up again to provide spectacular catches and another 50. Wayne scored himself the mug and pink hat tonight for no real reason... another week off with the North West Cup planned in Tom Price, congrats Jarrad on being picked captain... good luck fullas

22.01.2022 Well batted lads

21.01.2022 Unlucky to the lads tonight defending 112 and having the opposition 8/50 but unfortunately went down tonight in the last ball of the innings. Stand outs were Jarrad O'Dea 21 and Toby 22 and top scorer Chris Briody 25. Bowling wise Briody got 3 wickets, Mac Enoch 2 fa and Rhys 1 fa. Keep our heads held up high lads. Thanks to the ladies for helping out the boys with the water and support tonight.

21.01.2022 Great effort by the lads tonight in a T20 Grand Final rematch against the Wanderers. Lead by the Prez throwing away at 50 with a top score of 43. With a bit of a wobble in the middle order until 200 game Legend Sammy Mason came to the crease. Posting a target of 134. Part time opener Jarrad O'dea decimated the top order taking 3/6 off his 4 overs with the openers throwing the bat at everything . Wanderers hanging around to give the Boys in blue some critical center wicket time posting 106 in reply.

21.01.2022 Port Hedland cricket club and Wanderers faceoff at Kevin Scott Oval!! Who are you backing to win?

21.01.2022 Well done to our president Ryan Ibbotson for purchasing new gear for the ladies, just in time for today’s centre wicket practice. Big thanks to our sponsors because without you this wouldn’t be possible!

Good work fullas. Two games left in the season, lets get it done! GYKO

16.01.2022 Congratulations to Phil for winning player of the match in our most recent t20 game. It is Phil Stacey first season for PHCC and it was his first bat for the club when he hit 49 not out to steer the team to a 7 wicket win with 5 balls to spare against Mines cricket club. Thanks again to our sponsor Beard & Shears

15.01.2022 Good win tonight! 81 runs for the lions, 6 wickets for Mcenrith, his previous best was 4. McRIbbotson took 3 catches, two wickets and then batted through the 11.1 overs ending up with a total of 36, he was a close second for the mug which Macca took. Macka also took the pink hat for a previous fines master fiasco... Great intensity for the whole game. Wanderers next week should be a good one! credits to Jazza for his growing mullet.

14.01.2022 Happy Birthday to Champion Player and all round Champion Fella Jarrad Rowdy O'Dea.

14.01.2022 A great start to the year for PHCC with 2 wins from 2 over Wanderers and Miners. Well done to all those involved, standout performers: PHCC 0/147 Vs Wanderers 5/146 Bucky 60no and Rowdy 76no Zooby and George 2 wickets each... PHCC 6/100 Vs Miners 10/96 Jesso 31 and Bucky 24 Macca 4/13 and Mo 2/10 4 catches for Zooby A well earned bye this week will be followed up with the first game of the season against SHCC on the 6/10.

14.01.2022 Outstanding effort from our women's team tonight to bring home our first victory. Some amazing individual performances however team work, strategy and never give up attitude will always prevail.

14.01.2022 The 2nd game of the week saw the boy's challenged by Miners CC. Tbags in some form that has been missing for sometime taking a liking to Rowdys bowling 1/40. Macca the pick of the bowlers with a miserly 6 runs from his 4 overs. Miner setting a solid total of 128. Sammy 21 and Rowdy 26 got us off to a solid start whilst our Skipper roasted himself on the BBQ. T Moots 18* and Phil Stacey 49* consolidating the solid start to pass the total with 5 balls to spare.

13.01.2022 The style continued (Scottys shorts) with PHCC securing another solid win in the 49 over comp, Azza dealt damage of 119 off only 76 balls, supported by Jarrad at the other end for the majority of that time who came away with 61 for himself (157 run partnership). The opportunity to bat coming from Briodys win of the toss. 301 was the total. Out of the nine bowlers who has a go this week, Benny Leonard and Rowdy were the key wicket takers, 2 & 3 respectively, Benny only takin...g 4 overs to get them but Rowdy bowling 4 maidens and coming very close to more wickets throughout the spell. With extras taking the top score of 34, The Lions managed a respectable 153 for 9 off their 40. It is unclear who will receive the pink hat this week as all three mysteriously vanished only moments before the fine session, could be an expensive lesson for Scotty, but he cooks a good feed so no complaints from the rest of the team were sure. Azza was crowned mug holder and you would bet he will make the most of it.

12.01.2022 Well done to the men’s team for winning round 1 of the 35 over competition. Winning the toss and electing to bat. The lads amassed 5/187 with the captain and vice captain putting on 104 for the 2nd wicket partnership. Skipper Chris Briody hit 74 whilst Rowdy made just under a run a ball 58. Also some handy contributions thanks to Kev and Toby got us to a good total. We only needed 3 bowlers to wrap up mines bowling them out for just 54. Jarrad O'Dea 2/16 off 7 swung the ball well partnered with Jazza 1/20 off 3.5 overs and man of the match Mac Enoch 6 overs 5/18. Special mention also goes to Kev for keeping very well with 4 stumpings to support our spinner. Next game is against Wanderers on Friday night. Support is welcome! #PHCC

12.01.2022 Good luck to our Men's team as they take on Wanderers CC tonight at 6.30pm in the T20 Grand Final. Keep up to date with lives scores

11.01.2022 A hot night all round was a good positive start for the new year, credit to the part timers who took wickets. Wayne Mac with a 3, Rhys with 3 and Mcenrith with 2, lions made 86... Even though it took about 18 balls for one of them to get off the mark, Rowdy and Chris batted through, Jarrad with a strike rate of 155 and a total of 42 in 11.3 overs. Another break but all those boys are looking forward to the next one!

11.01.2022 A good win to the team on Friday night achieving redemption with a 9 wicket win against Wanderers. Losing the toss and bowling first, the lads had to work hard for our first wicket which didn’t come until the score was at 58. Mac Enoch got the breakthrough and ended up with figures of 7 overs 1 maiden 2 wickets for 24 runs. Trento got an opportunity to bowl some overs rewarding his hard earnt training efforts this year and made the most of it acquiring the figures of 5.4 over...s 4 wickets for 21 runs. Chris Briody also snagged 2 wickets for 2 runs off 3 overs with 2 maidens. Some good catches especially from Jarrad O'Dea and Luke Jessop bowled Wanderers out for 123 in the 32nd over. Then it was over to us to chase down the runs. Kev hit 55 striking at 137 and the skipper (41 not out) combined for a 94 run partnership which put the run chase in PHCC control leaving vice captain rowdy to finish off the innings with 12 not out striking at 150 to secure the win with 17 overs to spare. That means the men have won 2 from 2 in the longer format and will enjoy the Christmas break while preparing for the PHCA senior country week in mid January. Merry Christmas to the PHCC community, thank you for your commitment and support as we look forward to cricket recommencing in 2021

09.01.2022 Apologies for the late update: PHCC had all the style and flair (see photo) on Saturday in the first Ray Stoddard match against SHCC. Another solid performance by Chris, captain, a winning toss and 80 solid runs off the bat. Ibbo provided a lot of support from the other end and was unbeaten at the end of the innings with his 61 runs.... Scotty was tight with the gloves and claimed that he had 5x assisted dismissals, the scorebooks unfortunately not reflecting this at the moment. Rowdy kept it tight and doubled his wicket tally to 2 for the season with 8 tight overs (3x Ms). Mo took 3 poles in a great bowling performance but unfortunately for him this was overshadowed by the debut first XI effort of 12 year old Benny Leonard who took 3 for 20 off just 3.3 overs, great work young fulla! GYKO and your pants tucked in for good luck against the Lions on Saturday.

09.01.2022 Our men's team are back in winning form with a tight run chase over a disciplined Mines outfit. Loosing the toss and asked to bowl, saw a change in tactics from the Skipper opening the bowling with himself 1/26 and Macca 1/18. Zooby 2/14 and Jazza 2 /17 multiple wicket takers holding MCC to 114. Wayno swung hard at the first ball of the innings only to be greeted with the duck hat as he left the field. The least converted symbol of PHCC progressed through the batting order finally comfortably nesting on 99's head. Steady progress continued with Kevy the only score in the 20's for the top 6. Enter Chris Briody( 30* from 28 )who is not know for his striker rate, going deep with Macca 14 from 11)to seal the win with 4 balls to spare.

06.01.2022 Good stuff Benny

04.01.2022 First meeting against the lions and they left with their tails between their legs. Sammy (Hannah) with mug after batting though and getting 35 on his first bat of the season, Zooby (Lisa) got 38 and the 90 needed to win were achieved in 8.1 overs... 50 games for Zooby and George for the club. ... Zooby pink hat for appealing more than Chris Briody does when the batter was bowled on a free hit. First 40 over against south next week should be a good test for the strong batting we have seen so far....

01.01.2022 A great lead up to the Ray Stoddart Shield T20 GF scheduled for Saturday 7th December by the Boys in Blue taking down WCC with a convincing win last night. A solid batting performance 3/146 with notable scores of 41 Kev Johnston, 40* Sam Mason and 32* from 50 gamer Chris Briody. The bowlers backed themselves restricting WCC to 71. Briody, Jazza and Zooby picking up 2 wickets each. Get down to KSO 6.30pm to cheer on the lads. GYKO
