25.01.2022 The South Australian Government has revised their Covid-19 restrictions. As of Sunday 22nd November, we will now be able to accept bookings for guests travelling to the region. For those guests that had previously held bookings with us from Sunday 22nd November onwards, these bookings will remain valid. If you have been directly impacted by the recent restrictions and have not already done so, we would encourage you to email our Reception team and we will endeavour to reach out as quickly as possible. We look forward to welcoming our valued guests back to the park.

13.01.2022 CEO'S MESSAGE I have provided information on the damage to the Port Hughes Jetty and the repairs to be undertaken on previous Facebook posts on the 24th August, 11th September and 30th September. The timeline for the repairs to be undertaken are:- Damage was reported to Council Saturday 22nd August following bad weather from the 19th to 22nd August. Council staff that were on call assessed the damage and closed the Jetty for public safety reasons.... Council staff further inspected the damage sustained on Monday 24th August. Council’s Insurer was notified on the 28th August. Inspection of the damage sustained and production of a report is a specialised assessment unlike contacting an Electrician or a Plumber for works to be undertaken. The State Government Department Infrastructure and Transport was contacted to make sure that the businesses engaged to inspect the damage and produce a report were accredited. This was so that Council's costs above $10,000 would be met by the State Government. Whyalla Diving were available and undertook inspections of the damage on 18-19th September and WGA Structural Engineers on the 18th September. Reports were produced on the damage sustained by Whyalla Diving on the 27th September and WGA on the 25th September, with their official report received on the 9th October. Council then prepared a document based on the reports for a Request For Quotation from suitably qualified businesses for repair works. This was requested on the 16th October and closed on the 30th October. The quotations received were sent to the State Government on the 4th November and Council Insurer on the 3rd November. The quotations received were assessed and a suitably qualified business has been appointed for the work to commence on the 10th December. Repair works are expected to be completed prior to Christmas and following an inspection that it is safe to do so, the Jetty would be reopened to the prior to Christmas. Further information will continue to be provided. Russell Peate Chief Executive Officer
