19.01.2022 CONGRATULATIONS Port Hunter Basketball Club product Suzy Batkovic, who has been honoured by JCU Townsville Fire in the club's 20th WNBL season. Townsville's uniforms will feature a commemorative logo featuring Suzy's silhouette. It is the latest accolade for the retired three-time Olympic medallist, five-time WNBL champion and six-time WNBL MVP, whose name now accompanies that award. 07.01.2022 Port Hunter is looking for a volunteer to assist as Rookie’s Coordinator for our U8’s and U10’s program. Main duties include: Attending Muster Day to answer any questions or queries (registrations are typically done by this stage). Sorting and allocating of singlets to be handed out on the first competition day for the Rookie’s (U8’s - Saturday & U10’s - Thursday’s).... Assist in sorting and allocating players into teams and communicating this to parents. Liaise with Newcastle Basketball in relation to team and player numbers and fixtures. Our club is run by volunteers. It is a tireless effort to keep the club successful for the development and growth of our kids to support them in playing the sport they love. If you are a parent of a child in this age group or even if you’re not! We’d love for you to help out! Please comment below or email [email protected] to get started for Term 2.
