24.01.2022 The last few weeks were rather hectic with all the parcels being received at our office for collection & for those being sent not only locally but also interstate & overseas. As for every year Port Kembla Post Office excelled in ensuring that all your parcels & mail were dispatched safely & speedily. But now things seem to be quieting down and we can concentrate on a little relaxing time ahead of us. We will in fact finish off tomorrow night(Friday 23rd December) & return ...to work on Wednesday 28th December. A well deserved little break if I can say so myself! 23.01.2022 What a rot!!! Telstra has to be the most unreliable corporation in Australia ! They have left our town in complete disarray & they keep on telling us lies! We have waited since before Christmas to have our lines back in order & now they tell us it's not going to happen for at least another month! Are they for real? Meantime we lose business ...can't give the services we are used to give and run the risk of going broke! Wake up Telstra ! There is no compensation you can give us to replace the loss of business we are experiencing because of your inefficiency!!!!!

19.01.2022 Traditionally the Illawarra has been synonymous of the manufacturing of steel & associated products. In the last few years though our manufacturing industry has been declining dramatically. The major reason is of course the fact that our governments are allowing cheap imports to the detriment of those Australian companies who cannot compete with the low cost of wages paid by their overseas competitors & many are forced to close their operations in Australia. One of those comp...anies who have recently ceased operations is Illawarra Springs P/L in Port Kembla. Illawarra Springs shut down on 11th May after 62 years of service to the region. As sad & unfortunate as this is, it is reality & I can only hope that our governments in Canberra understand that unless something is done to protect our manufacturing industry, the future for our young generation is looking more and more uncertain. 15.01.2022 Currently at the hospital & waiting to be operated tomorrow. A total knee replacement!!! Unfortunately I won't be in any shape to show up for work for a couple of weeks and the office will be closed for the next 2 Saturdays( 12th & 19th). Natalie & Trish will hold the fort from Monday to Friday . I'm sorry for the inconvenience but I promise to do my best to return to work as soon as possible!

15.01.2022 No... I have not yet fully recovered from my full knee replacement surgery but I'm definitely getting there! I have returned to my usual duties at the Office on a part time basis as I'm still undertaking physiotherapy. I'm currently coming in 2 days between Monday & Friday plus every Saturday. Hopefully it won't be long before I'll comeback full time even though I'll probably end up in a divorce as Vicky is not very happy about me coming back to work too early. Have a nice weekend, everyone!!!!!

12.01.2022 The Port Kembla Post Office 20 year old on 20th May as a Licensed Post Office. It is with great pride that Vicky & I celebrate our 20th year as licensees. For 20 years we have served our Port Kembla Community endeavoring to give the best service possible & made many friends amongst our customers in the process. We still remember the day we took over the Post Office with some emotions. 20th May, 1996: Our town has come a long way since then thanks to those citizens who never g...ave up the fight & those who inherited the baton & are continuing the good work. To mark the event, Vicky & I invite all our customers & friends to our office tomorrow, Friday 27th, to share with me, Vicky & our beautiful & efficient staff, Natalie & Trish, our birthday cake & a glass of bubbly! 11.01.2022 The last two months have been very traumatic for me, Vicky & my staff! Natalie and Trish have done a great job at holding the fort on my behalf while I have gone from my knee replacement operation to my rehab. Thank you Natalie & Trish... Vicky & I are very grateful! And thank you to our wonderful customers for being so patient with our absence. I have today completed my rehabilitation at the hospital and have decided to take advantage of my beautiful staff goodness & loyalt...y & take a few extra days off to recuperate from the stressful time Vicky & I have had to endure for the last 2 months. I will be back to work at our office on Thursday 19th of October and hopefully my return to work will be full time. Meanwhile please note that our office will be closed on Saturday 14th October due to my absence & I take this opportunity to apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. See more

I am currently enjoying a little break away from our office & therefore we are closed today, Saturday 8th July.... my beautiful staff , Natalie & Trish will be holding the fort from Monday until Vicky & I come back to work. 06.01.2022 On Tuesday, 19th May, Australia Post launched a national marketing campaign which they called Dear Australia . The idea behind this is to encourage all Australians to share their experiences of this moment in time with a letter to Australia. To quote Australia Post We are currently experiencing an unprecedented event in Australia’s history. The Coronavirus ( Covid19) Pandemic has impacted our families, our communities & our way of life so we have created a national letter...box where everyone in Australia can send a letter reflecting on how they are feeling through this time of social distancing & isolation Some of the letters will be shared with Australia on Australia Post’s website & social channels and Australia Post will select some which will be transferred to the National Archives of Australia so that our future generations can learn about this time. Letters sent in should contain a message of hope for all our world. Stories of community spirit or how COVID19 has changed or will change our way of life. It might even incorporate your children’s artwork. Anyone can participate but children will need parent/guardian permission. All you have to do is write the letter, place it in an envelope, affix a postage stamp & hand it to any Post Office or drop it in a red mailing post box. Thank you to my wife, Vicky & my staff,the beautiful & efficient Natalie & Trish but most of all my customers whom I always consider my friends for their continuous loyal support! You are the best!!!!! The award is given on good service, efficiency & professionalism! The award was presented to Vicky & me by State Manager Christine Walker & Network Manager Gavin Shepherd at the Novotel Parramatta!
