"An Excellent Adventure" by Damon Kowarsky and Hyun Ju Kim will be open from the Monday 1st of February until Monday the 15th of March, at the Portland Bay Press Studio Gallery.

KEY DATES: 05 March, 2020 ENTRIES OPEN 10 July, 2020 at 4pm: ENTRIES CLOSE mid August 2020: Notification of selected shortlist for exhibition 17 September 2020, 4pm: Shortlisted works to be delivered to FPS 09 Oct 07 Nov: Exhibition Dates 09 October 6-8pm: Official opening and announcements 07 November 2020: Exhibition closes 11-18 November 2020: Return of works Art works to have been executed by the artist after August 2019 and be original work of the entrant and must not infringe copyright. Medium: Must be a monoprint Size: Maximum size is 56 x 76cm (portrait or landscape). Entry Fee: A fee of $35.00 for one work, or $50.00 for two works, payable on submission of entry form. MEET OUR JUDGES: Cathy Leahy Cathy Leahy is the Senior Curator of Prints and Drawings at the National Gallery of Victoria, and has held this role since 2002. Cathy began her art museum career at the National Gallery of Australia in the Department of International Prints (1984-90), and in 1989 she was the Harold Wright Scholar in the Department of Prints and Drawings at the British Museum. Cathy has worked at the National Gallery of Victoria (Prints and Drawings) since 1990. Dr David Sequeira Artist and curator Dr David Sequeira is the Director, Margaret Lawrence Gallery, Victorian College of the Arts. Prior to this role, David has held senior positions in the areas of curatorship, audience engagement, business development and cultural programming in a range of art museums and public institutions including the National Gallery of Australia, the National Portrait Gallery, the National Film and Sound Archive and Australian Parliament House Canberra. David has exhibited his work extensively throughout Australia and his work is held in important public collections including the National Gallery of Australia. He is recipient of several residencies and awards including the Australia Council for the Arts studio residency in Paris, the Collex Museum of Contemporary Art acquisitive prize, Artist in residence at the University of Texas, Dallas and the Wyndham Art Prize. Kim's show 'An excellent adventure". Damon covers alot of topics and really gois in deep. including how they do these amazing works, process, their studio/house, print making, travelling - art and "seeing", how he made the panoramic drawing, his journals ( a must watch ), how long the works take, and how he utilises social media at the end.
