20.01.2022 IMPORTANT COVID UPDATE As of midnight this Sunday it will be compulsory for all Victorians to wear a face mask whenever they leave home. This includes when you play golf. We appreciate that wearing a face covering for the duration of a 4-hour game of golf may be uncomfortable and will take time getting used to, however this is a mandatory measure put in place by the government to keep you and your loved ones safe. We ask that you respect these new rules and ensure you are we...aring a face covering at all times while on course, including in the car park and around/in the clubhouse. We will monitor the wearing of masks at the Portland Golf Club and if you dont have one, you will not be allowed to play. Please save yourself some embarrassment and wear your mask. All staff members, officials and volunteers at the club are also required to wear one. Its simple NO mask, NO play, NO exceptions. Stay safe everyone

19.01.2022 Ok members and others. Keep an ear out for someone bragging about doing this! This damage was done to the 9th green last night. Our greens staff and volunteers spent the day, in shocking conditions, trying to patch it up as best as possible. If you hear or know anything about this senseless vandalism, please call the police or the Portland Golf Club. Thankyou.

08.01.2022 There’s two popular events coming up at PGC. Sunday 24th January is the Porthaul Cup - 4 person Ambrose. 8am or 12.30pm shotgun start. Each team is allowed a maximum of 1 non GA golfer. Mixed teams must be 2 men and 2 ladies. Book yourself or your team in now at bookatee. The Bert Tober Shield - Mixed Pinehurst will be played on Sunday 14th February. This is an 11am shotgun start with a seafood lunch to follow. Again enter at bookatee. 04.01.2022 As of midnight tonight regional Victoria enters Stage 3 restrictions. What does that mean for Portland Golf Club? Golf is still allowed to be played. GROUPS OF 2 (maximum) unless all players live in the same household. NO competition play.... All practice facilities are closed. (Putting and chipping greens, practice fairway and nets) All golf must be booked online at bookatee.com.au Social golfers (non members) are allowed to play but MUST pay fees online at bookatee.com.au No hire equipment available (clubs, buggies, carts) Golfers are to adhere to current COVID restrictions a. Maintain social distancing. b. Maintain good hand hygiene c. No touching of flagsticks. d. Bring your own sand bucket. e. Turn up 10 minutes prior to tee off time and leave immediately after play. f. Face masks must be worn at all times. If you feel unwell or are experiencing signs or symptoms of Covid 19, or have been in contact with a positive case or are meant to be in isolation please do not attend the Portland Golf Club. For members who have already committed to playing tomorrow and Saturday we have rebooked you as close as possible to your original time. Please view the daily timesheets on bookatee.com.au and if you wish to change your time or cancel, please call the clubhouse on 5523 2523 asap. As we are now playing social golf for exercise only, the halfway house will not be open and there will be no alcohol available or consumed on the course.
