20.01.2022 BUDGET 2020: Community sporting facilities are vital to encourage participation and a health lifestyle - but many across our region lack the facilitates they ne...ed - particularly when it comes to change rooms for women. Basketball is one of the most popular sports in Portland - with the Portland Basketball Association having over 700 playing members, but the facilities at the stadium are really lacking and can't cater for the demand. The Government must fund a significant upgrade of community sporting facilities across South West Coast - including the Portland Basketball Stadium, the Flinders Park master plan and a raft of other upgrades at ovals, courts and stadiums.

We want to gauge whether it’s worth pursuing or not. ... The basic nuts and bolts of it is as follows; Each team to have 4 players Players are worth points depending on what division they are graded. Div 1 4 points Div 2 3 points Div 3 2 points Div 4/5 1 point Teams equaling 10 points or more play in A Grade Team equaling 9 points or less play in B Grade Teams pay a TBA entry fee for the night Teams can vary from week to week, you don’t have to enter the same team every week Teams to be entered by noon Thursday so draws can be done and times advertised Friday. 13.01.2022 Important This is a call out to return all Junior Coasters Uniforms, including those issued to boys playing in the newly created U18 comp. We desperately need them all back for the upcoming Mt Gambier tournament. They can be returned to the Stadium this Sunday between 5:45pm and 6:15pm. If you have a uniform, but can't make that time, we need you to contact us to make alternative arrangements.

This can either be done by the QR code or paper form at the entrance to court 1. *Masks must worn at all times by spectators and on the score bench.... *Game payments must be made on the night either on the ipads at the score benches or on the portlandbasketball.com.au website. (Sign In can also be done on this website before entering the stadium). When paying by this method please use player name as reference. Good to see senior basketball finally back!!

06.01.2022 The response to our post about a possible domestic/social X was overwhelmingly positive! The PBA BOM will now look at how and when we can get this off the ground. It will need some volunteers and some referee’s to pull it all together. Watch this space for more details in the coming weeks.
