24.01.2022 Portland Cable Trams will not be operating today due to an interruption to our power supply. We apologise for any inconvenience. We look forward to welcoming you back on board the tram tomorrow, with the first trip departing the Tram Depot at 10am.

REGARDING COVID-19 PANDEMIC 31st July 2020 Due to the current public health concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been decided once again that Portland Cable Trams will temporarily close to the public as of 4:00pm Today, Friday 31st July 2020 for an indefinite period. ... The health and safety of our community, volunteers and staff remain our number one priority. We would like to reiterate that this is a temporary measure and we will be reassessing the situation on a continual basis until we are in a position to safely resume normal operations. REGARDING COVID-19 PANDEMIC 21st March 2020 Due to the current public health concerns around the COVID-19 pandemic, it has been decided that Portland Cable Trams will temporarily close to the public as of 4:00pm Saturday 21st March 2020 for a minimum of four weeks, in line with the State of Emergency declaration by the Victorian Government. ... This has been a very difficult decision, however, the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, visitors and community is our number one priority. As a Not for Profit organisation, we believe that the decision to temporarily close our operations now will put PCTI in the best possible position to remain strong and reopen as soon as government and medical advice gives us the all clear to do so. We would like to reiterate that this is a temporary measure and we will be reassessing the situation on a continual basis until we are in a position to resume normal operations. PCTI are working with our staff and volunteers to support them through this difficult period as best we can. We are, as always, very grateful to our community for their ongoing support of Portland Cable Trams and look forward to the day when we can once again operate our beautiful cable trams and be able to share all the wonderful history of our trams and that of the City of Portland. 11.01.2022 Come and meet Santa as he makes his final journey on the special Santa Tram this afternoon in Portland! Bring the kids along to personally hand Santa their letters. The Santa Tram departs the Bentinck Street depot at 3pm, stopping at all stops along our route.... Ho Ho Ho Merry Christmas!!!

Santa and his sleigh will be departing our Bentinck Street depot at around 3pm tomorrow Saturday 21st, arriving at the Foreshore at approximately 3:20pm and stopping at all stops. Kids can personally hand their letters to Santa to the big man himself along the way!... Ho Ho Ho!!!!! #iamportland

09.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that we will be Re-Opening tomorrow, Saturday 6th June, with our First Tram departing at 10am from the Depot as per our normal timetable. Ticket sales will be available from the Tram Depot Only, Henty Park, 2a Bentinck Street. We look forward to Welcoming you On Board and seek your cooperation in complying with the restrictions in place, allowing us to operate.
