24.01.2022 It runs in the family. Our very own Portland chiropractors, Dr Helen McKenzie-Elias, Dr Naomi Fleming and Dr Eloise Fleming are the first three generations of female chiropractors in Australia.

23.01.2022 Welcome home to The Whole Osteo - Dr. Nicola Symons, joining our team for two weeks for her Portland pop up days.

23.01.2022 Portland Chiropractic Centre is open today. We will be open for business as usual (PLUS our super strict COVID-19 policy and sanitising procedures that have been in place more recently). We will keep you updated as we receive information from the Government in regards to ‘essential services’ so stay tuned to our social media posts in the next few days / weeks.

21.01.2022 [ONLINE BOOKINGS] We are doing all that we can to continue to provide a safe service to our clients. We have reduced our hours, with appointments only available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As we’re not always there to answer your calls, you can now book your appointments online via our website.... www.portlandchiro.com.au The old fashioned way still works - leave a message on our phone. We hope that you are doing well during the current climate of uncertainty, we are thinking of you all.

18.01.2022 Do chiropractors see pregnant patients? YES we absolutely do. We use different techniques, and focus on easing pain and discomfort, releasing any imbalances in ligaments and creating space in the pelvis. We also use Belly Pillows which allow pregnant women to safely and comfortably lay on their stomach during their treatment. This position can help muscles and ligaments to relax more than when laying on your side.

15.01.2022 Meet Charlie . Dr Charlie Bradshaw was introduced to chiropractic as a teenager, whilst managing numerous football injuries. After having a positive experience in his own treatment and an existing passion for health science and helping people, Charlie decided to study Chiropractic at RMIT in Melbourne. Charlie originally grew up in Camperdown and is happy to be back in the Western District building his career here.... In clinic Charlie treats a lot of postural issues, back/hip/neck pain, headaches and other problems that may be helped with exercise rehabilitation. If you would like to make an appointment you can book online via our website: www.portlandchiro.com.au

14.01.2022 [MEET THE TEAM] Hello . I’m Phoebe, and I am one of the new faces at Portland Chiropractic Centre. I’m originally from Portland, and after studying and then working as a chiropractor in Melbourne and Geelong, I have returned home to start work here.... In clinic I see lots of sports injuries, postural issues, back/neck/hip pain, headaches and pregnant women. I love to use manual techniques (joint manipulation & mobilisation) as well as lower force techniques, soft tissue massage, exercise prescription and dry needling - all depending on what the patient needs most. Looking forward to meeting and reconnecting with more Portland people in the clinic. (A strange time to write a ‘meet the team’ post - we are still open for the time being, but with reduced hours and strict hygiene measures due to COVID-19).

13.01.2022 We are open and here to help you. The safety and wellbeing of our clients is our priority. Our team has undertaken specific Government COVID-19 infection control training and implemented additional preventative hygiene measures. These actions help to minimise risk. Our team also understands and is supportive of those who would prefer to reschedule their appointment. ... Please give the clinic a call or send us an email if you have any questions or concerns.

11.01.2022 The Whole Osteo: Dr. Nicola Symons - Osteopath is back in the clinic tomorrow . 08.01.2022 [FACE MASKS] On Friday 18th July, the Department of Health in Victoria updated advice regarding the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including face masks, for health workers. This means that as of this week all our Practitioners will look slightly different than usual and will be wearing a level 1 or type 1 disposable surgical mask during your appointment. This is a requirement for ALL health workers in Victoria, including regional and rural areas. ... To help keep communities safe from transmission of COVID-19, it has also been recommended that all patients bring something to cover their face when attending an appointment: This could be a surgical mask, home made mask, or a face covering like a bandana or scarf. Don’t hesitate to ask us if you have any questions at all.
