22.01.2022 Have you vaccinated your horse or pony lately? Tetanus is an invariably fatal disease that comes from even a small wound contamination and is completely avoidable. Horses should be vaccinated every five years against tetanus. Strangles is also highly recommended especially if your horse has contact with others. Re-vaccination for strangles is yearly. PHVC can call in and vaccinate and health check your horse for $120 inc GST plus travel (travel free within the Portland area)

21.01.2022 The two gorgeous dogs in my cover photo are my little dogs Skees and Penny. They are both adopted from shelters. I don't like to say rescue because the shelters, including the RSPCA here in Portland, do a wonderful job taking care of stray and surrendered animals. They are sheltered, well fed, walked and patted by the staff and they do all they can to re home every one. If you are thinking of getting a dog, please consider dropping into the RSPCA and see if a great dog like these two is waiting for you.
