17.01.2022 It's been a very busy month for the crew at Portland Lighthouse Home, this update is a little overdue. Saturday 8th September we held a 'thank you' afternoon at the house for all that supported us throughout our journey. Those that baked, volunteered on our market stalls, at the gates for gold coin entry, and especially those that donated very generously towards the house. Approximately 60 joined us, with many near and far that were not able to celebrate with us. A great aft...ernoon showing off the house, sharing a wine and yummy finger food. Once again THANK YOU, we could not have succeeded without this support. One negative from this day.....not one of us picked up the camera and happily clicked away, we were far too busy socialising!!! Annoyed the next day to think this was our final function and nothing was recorded. Once again Helen at Braithwaites came to the rescue and had a few photos for us. The beautiful flowers were also from Braithwaites congratulating us on our achievement and saying thank you for shopping locally our pleasure.

15.01.2022 It's been a super busy few weeks at our beautiful home, starting with many bags, boxes and finally the deliveries from Bi-Rite and Braithwaites. House now in waiting for five incredible adults ready to start a new chapter in their life. As for this mum, its exciting and daunting, I know what I was like when my other children moved out - tissues galore....but this is what it has all been about. Independence for our children, a home of their own and peace of mind for us as parents. Enjoy your new home my loves we look forward to many dinners and drop ins in the future xx

13.01.2022 Portland has had rain,hail & shine this week, with a few thunderstorms in between. Regardless, our landscapers have turned up everyday to get the landscaping completed. Thanks to Ashley and crew for really putting in this week. (AC Landscape Developments,Pt Fairy). Some photos to date, watch this space for the final showpeace.

08.01.2022 Portland Lighthouse Home is Officially opened.....well we have had a celebration of the house being finished, would be a better way of putting it. Friday 31st August was quite an event to celebrate the completion of our home, shortly our adults will be moving in. It has only taken close to 9 years to achieve and who is counting!!!...Continue reading

08.01.2022 Today our driveway was poured....thanks to Corey & team. Might have to drag out the skates (now that's showing my age) Next is to complete the landscaping, all looking good.
