25.01.2022 You will eat bread by the sweat of your brow until you return to the ground, since you were taken from it. For you are dust, and you will return to dust. Ash Wednesday was done a little differently this year; a personal and reflective way to begin Lent

24.01.2022 Last week we reflected on the feeding of the 5,000. But Jesus' day is not over. That night, Jesus is alone to pray while his disciples battle a storm on Lake Galilee. Jesus comes to them, walking on the water, and Peter gets out of the boat and attempts to come to him. Pastor Rob Schubert from Our Saviour's Lutheran Church reflects on Jesus and Peter walking on the water and what we can learn about being a disciple. https://youtu.be/ct1XOn0GIBs

21.01.2022 The "Black Lives Matter" movement has sharpened the focus on justice; not only in the USA but all around the world. We know from his word that God desires justice. In a sinful world justice seems an impossible goal. It begs the question, "Is justice enough? Is there a better way?" Pastor Rob Schubert from Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Port Lincoln reflects on some of these issues in the light of Romans 12:1-21. https://youtu.be/iB6p5I7wrbE

17.01.2022 Happy Father's Day. One of the things that warms a father's heart is to see his children getting on and enjoying each other's company. It's the same for God. 08.01.2022 ASH WEDNESDAY 17th February ~ 7pm Worship Matthew 6:1-6, 16-21... When you do good deeds, don’t try to show off. If you do, you won’t get a reward from your Father in heaven. When you give to the poor, don’t blow a loud horn. That’s what show-offs do in the meeting places and on the street corners, because they are always looking for praise. I can assure you that they already have their reward. When you give to the poor, don’t let anyone know about it. Then your gift will be given in secret. Your Father knows what is done in secret, and he will reward you. When you pray, don’t be like those show-offs who love to stand up and pray in the meeting places and on the street corners. They do this just to look good. I can assure you that they already have their reward. When you pray, go into a room alone and close the door. Pray to your Father in private. He knows what is done in private, and he will reward you. When you go without eating,[a] don’t try to look gloomy as those show-offs do when they go without eating. I can assure you that they already have their reward. Instead, comb your hair and wash your face. Then others won’t know that you are going without eating. But your Father sees what is done in private, and he will reward you. Don’t store up treasures on earth! Moths and rust can destroy them, and thieves can break in and steal them. Instead, store up your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy them, and thieves cannot break in and steal them. Your heart will always be where your treasure is. See more

07.01.2022 Transfiguration Sunday || 14th February Worship at 10am The True Glory of Jesus... Six days later Jesus took Peter, James, and John with him. They went up on a high mountain, where they could be alone. There in front of the disciples, Jesus was completely changed. And his clothes became much whiter than any bleach on earth could make them. Then Moses and Elijah were there talking with Jesus. Peter said to Jesus, Teacher, it is good for us to be here! Let us make three shelters, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah. But Peter and the others were terribly frightened, and he did not know what he was talking about. The shadow of a cloud passed over and covered them. From the cloud a voice said, This is my Son, and I love him. Listen to what he says! At once the disciples looked around, but they saw only Jesus. As Jesus and his disciples were coming down the mountain, he told them not to say a word about what they had seen, until the Son of Man had been raised from death Matthew 6:1-6, 16-21 See more

05.01.2022 CLW friends are friends for life! We stumbled across friends we met when we were campers/leaders at CLW (Christian Life Week) or other church youth camps on the EP! It was like a family reunion! If you ever went to a CLW or the like, you would understand when we say it’s a life changing experience! ... In true CLW style-a normal photo and a silly one for good measure (these were taken in front of most of the Synod audience much to their delight) Jackie & Gaye #clwisamazing #youthcamps #friendsforlife #wewillnevergrowup
