14.01.2022 To all you tradies out there, Wow what a year it has been for you all so far. Life just gets so crazy that we just keep going and forget to smell the roses and sometimes when we do, we realise that we have potentially ended up where we didn’t want to be. That can sometimes be pretty overwhelming and you may not be able to see a road out. I have personally had work colleagues and friends get themselves into this situation but didn’t think they had anyone to talk to about it. I... wish I had told them they did. It’s very confronting talking to someone about how you are feeling and what’s not working for you, but there are plenty of people out there willing to listen. Just within your industry here on the EP there are people willing to help, listen and tell their story. Their door is always open as well as my own. Matthew Dodd and Murray Kelsh are two guys you would all know that are always up for a chat. They may work for opposing builders or play for different footy clubs but when it comes to mental health they are willing to share their stories and experiences. Mentally Fit EP are also here for exactly the same reason. There is no shame in asking for advice or just letting someone know how you feel. You are not alone and we all need help at some stage or another in our lives. As you know, Thursday the 10th is RU OK day and we would like to invite you all for a coffee and some breaky at the Trade Centre between 7am and 9am. Please feel free to have a chat. Thank you to all of our customers for bearing with us through the few different changes to the services we were allowed to provide over the last few days. From being told we had to close for 6 days to being allowed to open but with restrictions, to being able to serve all through our makeshift drive through. It certainly has been a different few days.
