19.01.2022 Hey All, Looking for something to do over the March Long Weekend???? Why not pop on down to the Port Lincoln Leisure Centre and watch some of the local Volleyball teams compete against other teams from around the state (Port Pirie, Whyalla, Port Augusta, Roxby, Tea Tree Gully, United). Games are being played all day Saturday (7th) and Sunday (8th).... Interested in playing Volleyball? Why not come down, talk to some of the players about the game over the weekend and how to join a team or submit your own team for the upcoming Winter Season commencing late April / Early May. Games are played Wednesday Nights (A Grade) and Thursday Nights (B Grade). For further information please contact Kate Moore on 0439 823 243 for further details. :)

15.01.2022 And we're back!!! Volleyball will resume Thursday night 3rd of December for all B grade teams. Then back to normal for both grades next week. Matches are to continue as per the dates on the roster, all previous games during the lockdown period have been declared as draws. Captains have been notified & been asked to pass on the following information. Please know that PLVA does have hand sanitiser available at the door upon entry & exit of the Navigators Gym, additional hand ...sanitiser will also be on the score benches for teams use between sets. Please be reminded that everyone MUST ensure they abide by social distancing measures when attending for matches. PLVA will have our own QR Code to scan using your smart phone. To do this, use the "MySAGov" app or your mobile phones built in QR scanner. Scan the QR code, fill in your details (if needed) and present the confirmation check in to the PLVA Covid Marshall at the gym entrance. If you do not have a mobile phone or a QR scanning app, we will still be recording your time in & out details on our contact tracing form. You are required to check in to be eligible to play (NO EXCEPTIONS). Ensure teams do not shake hands at the conclusion of the match and stay home if you are unwell. All players to sanitize their hands prior to and after playing their games Drink fountains remain unavailable, COVID safe marshals will be in attendance to monitor Navigators gym attendance and QR code compliance. 15.01.2022 Hi Guys, The Grand Tasman Hotel has selected PLVA to be this Monday's (9th of November 2020) Community Night Fundraiser. So inlight of this, we have postponed... our Committee Meeting to the following Monday (16th November 2020), so that we can help support the Tasman Hotel as they are the Port Lincoln Volleyball Association. Therefore, grab some of your team mates, family and friends, head down to the Tasman Hotel monday night and order a Snitty (they have some amazing toppings to go with that Snitty :) ). Dependent on numbers, will depend on how much PLVA will recieve in fundraising - 1-19 people booked in under PLVA, the Tasman will donate $2.50 per snitty, 20+ bookings they will donate $5.00 per snitty. :) If you are booking / ordering, please make mention that you are there for the Volleyball Fundraiser. Please share this post to promote this wonderful event hosted by the Grand Tasman Hotel. :) I will also message Captains so those that are not on Facebook are notified and they can pass along to team mates too. 10.01.2022 ** URGENT ATTENTION ** As you may well already be aware, with the new covid restrictions announced today, we will need to pause our competition for at least 2 weeks. We will provide further information as the situation changes. Team captains will be notified via text message.
