18.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who came to the 2020 Country Conference in Singleton! We began the day with an Urgency Motion condemning cuts to important national parks sta...ff during a period of extreme stress for the organisation. Then we heard from ALP National President Wayne Swan, who told us all the importance of regional Labor representation in addressing climate change. We finished off with a series of expert panels on issues affecting Country People, including mental health, bushfires, and regional jobs. The result of this Conference is a set of regional policies that will be taken to the State Conference in June. These will form the basis of the values and priorities of the next Labor Government. We can't wait to see you next Country Conference

Today, Leader of the Opposition, Jodi McKay & I visited the amazing Po...rt Macquarie Koala Hospital and selfless FAWNA wildlife carers to understand how we start to recover. Safe to say that there is a volunteer army of wildlife carers who are incredible. But where is the government? When it comes to assessing loss and mapping a path to recovery, the Berejiklian government is way behind Victoria. Premier, our wildlife and our environment needs your attention now.
