22.01.2022 The Royal says of Ray Jelley's "321 Imagined Settlement": it is a fascinating venture into the history of a relatively typical, highly modernised house in Port Melbourne reveals a rich and often contrasting history ... a remarkable feat with lots of tips and tricks for house researchers along the way. http://ow.ly/hfc450B3hiu

15.01.2022 In this most difficult of years we have produced our best calendar yet! The PMHPS 2021 Historic Port Melbourne calendar pays tribute to the Women of Port. Over forty local women are depicted and many others mentioned. Some of the featured women may surprise you! For example, one was a musical talent who joined the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and in her younger days sailed on her brothers' yachts.... Calendars are available for sale at Port Melbourne Paints & Wallpaper at 395 Bay St, Elegant Slax at 275 Bay St and the Port Newsagency at 192 Bay St. You can also order them online via our website. https://www.pmhps.org.au//historic-port-melbourne-calendar/

10.01.2022 Entertained, moved and informed by our brilliant member presenters, at our novel 27th zoom AGM. Thank you Liana Thompson, Suzy Milburn and Greg Hansen.

10.01.2022 Looking for us at the Bay St artisan market? We're near Eyes2Port, just north of Liardet St. Can't keep up with the interest in the Borough and its people. George replenishes the stock. #BaySt #portmelbourne

09.01.2022 Celebrating all the women who have made their mark on Port Melbourne, and respecting their achievements. Just keeping the family show on the road was a huge achievement when times were tough in Port.

09.01.2022 Taking the Cup Day opportunity to re-share this piece about Rose Barry, milliner - Helen Barry's mother. Cup Week was her busiest time of the year. Helen shows some of the hats Rose made at a Holy Trinity fete. https://www.pmhps.org.au/2013/11/a-melbourne-cup-special/

06.01.2022 Sue Leong laid a floral tribute gathered from Port Melbourne gardens at the war memorial fountain this morning. Lest we forget.

04.01.2022 A large crowd turned out to commemorate Anzac Day on this perfect morning in Port. MC Dale Alllchin presided, with speeches from Josh Burns, Martin Foley MP, Deputy Mayor Marcus Pearl and Lt Col Sandeep (Sunny) Jadhav. It was wonderful to see Perce White there, an anchor of the service for many years. The City Of Port Phillip took great care of the arrangements. And the sound was strong.

02.01.2022 'I wish I'd been there' - Margaret Bride's inspired idea for an online meeting has generated enjoyable, entertaining, well researched contributions from members.

02.01.2022 Tribute to Judy. Members may have known Judy and her passion for the Borough.

01.01.2022 The roses in the George Samuel Walter Memorial Garden create a beautiful backdrop to the statue of Walter. The garden looks so good thanks to Christine Griffiths who initiated a refurbishment of the area in 2016. Find out more about George Walter's council and civic contribution here. https://www.pmhps.org.au/2019/10/walter-st/
