25.01.2022 Update: Our recent works at Short Road Wharf have run slightly over time, and will require some activity tomorrow, Saturday 19 September during the day. We apologise for any disruption this might cause and thank the community for their understanding.

22.01.2022 Port of Melbourne welcomes the Victorian Government's announcement of new rail facilities for freight in southeast Melbourne. Its another positive step towards moving more freight on rail and easing congestion on local roads. Port of Melbourne's Port Rail Transformation Project is investing $125M in rail upgrades and a new operating environment to support both the metropolitan port rail shuttle network, and our regional export market.

20.01.2022 Port of Melbourne wishes to advise our neighbouring communities that we are conducting piling works at Short Road Wharf. The works are part of the construction of a new maintenance building and is scheduled from 10-18 September, between 7.00am 5.00pm on weekdays. Residents and tenants may experience some noise during this time and we thank you for your understanding. For more information go to https://bit.ly/2ZjRql6

13.01.2022 Thank you to community members that have contacted us about the inundation of rubbish and anti social behaviour at Webb Trail. We are working hard to clear the rubbish, and to make repairs to extensive damage to our infrastructure. We thank the community for their help in keeping the area tidy and for encouraging those who use the area to do the right thing. Unfortunately police were in attendance last night after bonfires were lit. If you see anti-social behaviour, you can call Port of Melbourne on 9681 8044 or call Victoria Police on 11444. In an emergency, dial 000. Concerned residents can also email us at [email protected] Port Melbourne Focus Melissa Horne MP Martin Foley MP

12.01.2022 Port of Melbourne was pleased to participate in the development of this important research. Effective integrated transport planning delivers certainty, appropriate land use, buffers and land reservations, and importantly, urban amenity.

11.01.2022 Thank you to residents who have alerted us to increased usage of the Webb Dock trail since the restrictions have been lifted, and that there is an issue with rubbish. We have sent our crew there to address the issue, and we will also be increasing patrols. Regrettably, there are some who continue to engage in anti-social behaviour, including lighting camp fires and damaging infrastructure. If you see anti-social behaviour you can call Port of Melbourne on 9681 8044 or call Victoria Police on 11444. In an emergency, dial 000.

06.01.2022 Port of Melbourne's footprint includes more than 10 hectares of public open space, walking and cycling paths and the Maritime Cove playground. We encourage everyone (following the COVID restrictions) to enjoy these spaces, and to help us look after them by observing signs and disposing of litter. We've been aware of some rubbish issues near the Newport Power station, and thanks to Hobsons Bay City Council, an additional bin has been installed as close to the fishing platform as possible. Enjoy our beautiful river, but please protect it by making use of the bins along the paths.

06.01.2022 In April CEO Brendan Bourke thanked all of our frontline workers at the port for their excellent work during this difficult time. It is timely that we reiterate that thanks to everyone who is helping to deliver the goods Victorians needs from the port, to their doorstep. https://vimeo.com/405235903

02.01.2022 Today is international coffee day! While Melbournians currently juggle masks and macchiatos, Port of Melbourne imports an average of 20 tonnes of coffee per day -the equivalent to 1.2 million of coffee cups per day! We send our best wishes and thanks to all of the members of the coffee supply chain - from the suppliers to the baristas who serve up the world's best to us every day.
