25.01.2022 Coming Soon... We recently bottled our 2020 Salasso Rosé, including a small run of 200 magnums and 50 Jeroboams. Clear some space in your fridge, these larger format bottles will be available exclusively from us in coming weeks... Long and linear with a subtle creaminess, the palate delivers flavours of cranberry and just-ripe brambleberry. The citrusy acidity ensures a dry and fresh finish. Delicious!

23.01.2022 All our wines are domain grown and vinified, and, akin to the domains of the Old World, we bottle all our wines in-house using our state-of-the-art bottling line. We commissioned our bottling line facility in early 2009 in pursuit of achieving higher levels of excellence for our wines. Soon thereafter, a number of our regional peers realised the advantages of utilising our bottling line, and we began to offer contract bottling. We now bottle approximately 1.7 million bottles ...per annum and service more than 50 wineries across the Mornington Peninsula and Yarra Valley. This vertical integration affords us full control over the wine production cycle. Bottling Line Statistics Maximum speed 4,100 bottles per hour Day record 48,000 bottles (across two shifts) Biggest year (2018/19) 2.4 million bottles Storage capacity 220,000 litres of wine Next time you visit Port Phillip Estate (stay tuned on our re-opening date) descend our staircase to see our bottling line in action.

18.01.2022 Our Quartier Pinot Noir label pictures the rugged coastline of our region featuring Cape Schanck’s spectacular basalt cliffs and lighthouse... Located on the southernmost tip of the Mornington Peninsula and overlooking Bass Strait, the Cape Schanck Lighthouse was built in 1859, the second oldest lighthouse in Victoria. The tower stands 21 metres tall, is built from limestone and painted white. The original clockwork mechanism is still in place, though an electric motor now tu...rns the light. This working lighthouse keeps the shipping lanes safe for boats of all types as they pass Mornington Peninsula to and from Melbourne. It is part of a triangle of Bass Strait lights, the other two being Cape Otway and Cape Wickham lighthouses. Cape Schanck is a favourite for many of us at Port Phillip Estate. It’s the starting point to several walking trails that offer spectacular coastal scenery. The trails we regularly enjoy are the walk to Bushrangers Bay (and swim) and the walk up to and through Greens Bush, an area noted for its diversity of flora and fauna; large mobs of kangaroos can often be spotted here.

18.01.2022 Thinking festive! The festive season is fast approaching (how did that happen!?), and while celebrations are going to look a little different this year, our team can tailor your celebration to fit with evolving restrictions.
