15.01.2022 What an amazing sight this would be in Port Pirie's CBD! We are exploring the possibility of projections to light up our city centre and conducted a trial demonstration in City Park (on the Barrier Chambers wall) earlier this week. Further investigations will need to be carried out to consider costs, equipment needed and potential content for projection but this is certainly an exciting opportunity for our community.... Watch this space for further developments!

08.01.2022 Local contractors working on behalf of Council have been installing new doors at seven of the region's public toilet facilities. The new automated door system means the facilities will automatically unlock at the start of the day and lock at the end of the day. This was identified through Council's Business Improvement Program as having cost and time efficiencies as it negates the need for manual locking and unlocking of these public amenities. The new doors will be installed... at six facilities in Port Pirie and one in Crystal Brook. Works will continue for the rest of this month. The toilets will remain open to the public but may have some disturbance during this time. Council apologises for any inconvenience.
