06.01.2022 Today was a trip down memory lane for many of us , we were fortunate enough to have been invited along to look at Chas Kellys car & bike collection a great day was had by all.

06.01.2022 A welcome visit from Guy Barnett today at the shed for a coffee & chat , he was happy to see how we have been spending our DPAC grant & looking after the health of our members .

06.01.2022 Grants are now open for the Tasmanian Community Fund. Applications for small grants ($1,000 to $20,000) will close at 5.00pm on 11 September 2019. Applications ...for medium grants ($20,001 to $70,000) will close at 5pm on 25 September 2019. Stage 1 applications for large infrastructure/equipment grants ($100 000 to $300 000) will close on 21 August 2019. Applicants are also encouraged to discuss their project with Tasmanian Community Fund staff (phone 6232 7043 or 6232 7269 or email [email protected]) before submitting their application.

05.01.2022 A busy day at the shed today , we had a visit from U-3A this morning letting us know about the organisation and the upcoming courses available, our 40 shipping container arrived , a nice smooth delivery thanks to the professionals at Brianna towing .

04.01.2022 It is with a heavy heart that we inform our members of the passing of Dale Whitchurch one of our founding members and an integral part of our shed , for many of our customers Dale was the first person they met and one of the reasons our shed is held in high esteem , always willing to lend a hand and will be sadly missed around here , we said our final goodbyes Wednesday 2nd May at The Boathouse Launceston .

03.01.2022 It is with a very heavy heart that we inform our members of the passing of two of our esteemed members on the same day , Vance ( Fonz ) Munro & Laurence ( Mick ) Halley both services will be held at the Mersey Gardens Chapel & Crematorium Devonport Friday 19th July , Micks will commence at 10:30am & Fonz at 1:30pm , as a sign of respect the Port Sorell Mens Shed will be closed all day Friday , we encourage our members to wear their uniforms and get along and say goodbye to our esteemed colleagues.
