The Club played our final Monthly Medal before the Playoffs next month and the Fillies didn’t disappoint with some grand performances by the gals. Division 2 Our outright winner of the day and Monthly Medal winner was Cathy Kleinmeulman with a very impressive 67 Nett - she must have had her mo jo happening to notch up such a great Round. Runner up was Helen H...orton with a 74 Nett - great to see Helen playing so well and she is always trying to improve her game. 3rd Placegetter was Meryl Nolan with a 75 Nett our President may have a lot on her mind but she is still able to hand in a good quality card. 4th Placegetter was Jayne Berriman with a 77 Nett another great Round from Jayne who continues to play a steady game week after week. Division 1 Winner was Dot Hissey who blew everyone away in her Division with a 68 Nett and has been in good form for most of this year. Runner Up was Chris Osborne who played an amazing Round with a 75 Nett and also won the Putting Trophy with 28 Putts. 3rd Placegetter was Beth Magick with a 77 Nett I know Beth would have been more than happy with that result and 4th Placegetter was Jess Oshailee with a 78 Nett who has had an outstanding year. We have our Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 8 October, 2020 at 8.30 a.m. in the Golf Clubhouse, then a 9 Hole Stableford game before some lunch and then the Monthly Meeting. Balls went to the Team of Meryl Nolan and Sue Armstrong with 66 points (c/b) a very good result for both players and will boost their confidence for next week’s Monthly Medal Playoff. It was a pleasure to see Catherine Henderson return for a game at Tanilba together with a friend and visitor, Maria Mason who notched up 66 points a fine effort from the girls and both winning a ball each. Tanilba had two (2) representatives who competed in the Golf NSW Medal Playoff at Shortland Waters on Monday, 19 October, 2020 Chris Osborne (Division 2) and Jayne Berriman (Division 3). 15.01.2022 A little late this week but happy reading.
13.01.2022 Golfy News Thursday, 17 September, 2020 We didn’t play an Ambrose Event as I announced last week we played an American Foursomes. Once the Fillies understood the do’s and don’ts of the Rules, we were ready to show those Yankees how to play the game. The Team of Cathy Kleinmeulman and Karen Wallis somehow managed a sneaky win with a Nett 75, after some pitiful putting efforts on the last 2 holes which we thought squashed our chances to figure in the standings. Sue Arms...trong and I were today’s trophy donors. Runners Up was the team of Dot Hissey and Jess Oshailee with a Nett 77 who are always a strong team in these types of Events they are consistent and compliment each other’s game. 3rd Placegetters were Lynda McDougall and June Hamilton with a Nett 77. They must have been on their game today as I could hear their shenanigans from the adjacent fairway. 4th Placegetters were the dream team of Chris Osborne and Jayne Berriman with a Nett 79.8 who continue to plug away at their game each week. Congratulations to all the winners and well played to the rest of the field who enjoyed a fun game. Lynda McD won the Meat Raffle. Next week we have a Match Play and that will keep the Fillies on their toes. Until next week, happy golfing. Karen Wallis
11.01.2022 Golfy News Thursday, 24 September, 2020 Another beautiful spring day for the Fillies who played the nail biting Event of Match Play. Our Captain, Beth Magick decided to place a high handicapper against a lower handicapper and it proved to be quite challenging for the lower handicappers. It’s amazing how players can rise to the occasion shot for shot, hole for hole. It can be quite a demanding contest. Some players could not maintain the pace, and other games were nec...k and neck. So, I would like to announce the winners on the day. Helen Horton, Sue Gill, Margaret Street, Robin McClelland, Sandy Hunkin, Jayne Berriman and after the 18th Hole, it was a square result between Chris Osborne and Cathy Kleinmeulman. Congratulations Fillies, well played to all the gals. Next week is our Monthly Medal and Putting competition, so get some putting practice in girls that is where the game is won and lost. The photo today are the winners of the Match Play - winners are grinners. Just a reminder Nominations for our 2021 Committee close next week after the days play Thursday, 1 October, 2020. The following week is our AGM - 8 October, 2020. The Nomination Forms are located on the Notice Board in the Clubhouse Ladies Room. Until next week, happy golfing, Karen Wallis.

Division 2 Overall winner was Helen Horton who amassed 44 Stableford points to take out the trophy on the day an amazing performance by Helen. Division 1 Winner was Lynda McDougall with 39 Points and this Miss Bee just picks up when she left off week after week and she is just hitting the ball to perfection. A close Runner up was Beth Magick with a sparkling Round of 38 points - not bad for a gal who hates playing in the heat. 3rd Placegetter was Amanda Patterson with another consistent round of 35 points how does she do it? 4th was June Hamilton also another steady round with 33 points an amazing lady !! The Nearest the Pins: 4th Hole: Sue Armstrong; 11th Hole: Margaret Street and the 18th Hole: June Hamilton. The Meat Raffle went to Veronica Williams. Next week, we have the Captains v- Presidents Event. Hawks Nest Classic We had a team of Fillies to represent Tanilba Bay in the annual Hawks Nest Classic last week. The girls held their heads high and performed exceptionally well during the 4 day competition. Sunday, 8 November A Medley Team Stableford Event The team of Dot Hissey/Jess Oshailee/The Pritchards came in 3rd Place in a 4BBB Stableford Event with 2 scores to count. In conjunction with that Event, Dot came in 3rd in the individual stableford for B Grade with 36 Stableford Points. The girls gave it their best on the final days play no prizes but we all had a great time, a few laughs and managed to finish before the electrical storm rolled in. Congratulations to all the girls who also played at Hawks Nest. A truly amazing effort from Dot and Jess who played such a high standard of golf, and slashed 2 strokes off their handicaps. We currently have Teams playing at South West Rocks this week, so we wish the gals the best of luck and I will report on their shenanigans next week. Until then, happy golfing, Karen Wallis.
