17.01.2022 HAPPY MONDAY!! We are heading for a beautiful top of 21c today, sunny and warm. The light wind we currently have will drop off within the hour. ... If you are lucky enough to get out with a fishing line today, visibility will be at 15km on the water, with SW Winds at 27km/hr. Rising water pressure will see excellent fish activity and a stable water temp of 17c will see perfect fishing conditions. Just remember to SLIP SLOP SLAP as the UV index is at its highest today. Don’t forget the sunscreen & a hat Low tide occurs at 12pm. BEST TIME for fish activity will be from 2pm -4pm. HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!! From the Team at Thekiosk

Migratory shorebirds that have travelled as far as 12,000 kilometres to make the YP home during their non-breeding season. Our very observant, bird-loving volunteers have spotted them arriving in the past few weeks (and taken these great pics) There’s the Far Eastern Curlew, the largest shorebird, that has a bill so long it can touch its tail. The Common Greenshank that makes a choo, choo, choo flight call. And Red-necked Stints, the smallest of the 37 migratory shorebirds, that fly 25,000 kilometres between Australia and breeding grounds in Siberia and Alaska every year.
