22.01.2022 Great work to Alan and crew! It must be extremely rewarding to have won the leg. Cant wait to hear all about it in person.

20.01.2022 PVSC took this opportunity to recognise the outstanding contribution of Robert Cook to our club. His years of sailing and service were acknowledged with the awarding of life membership in front of his family, club members and visitors. Well done Robert, well deserved.

20.01.2022 Hi all, In line with all other sporting clubs and associations, PVSC will go into recess for the next two weeks following announcements from the SA government and Australian Sailing South Australia due to COVID -19 protocols being put in place. This means that at this stage our junior and senior sailing will not recommence until SUNDAY 6TH DECEMBER. If there are any changes to this you will be updated via this page. Club members please acknowledge and share with your crew. ...Hopefully we can be back on the water sooner rather than later. Regards, PVSC Management Committee. See more

18.01.2022 Sunday was a perfect day for getting our juniors re-acquainted with basic manoeuvres and terminology. Let’s hope we can have a few more days like this! Spread the word if you think there may be other school-age students keen to have a go!

17.01.2022 Insights from Alan. Enthralling exposition.

17.01.2022 Good luck to our trio of Mosquito sailors, Shaun, Greg and Hacko as they commence National titles this week. Heres to a good week on and off the water.

14.01.2022 Alan doing well!

13.01.2022 Message Alan if you anyone interested in Virtual Regatta today, 17 May.

13.01.2022 Juniors update: Can all families return or update their registration forms this Sunday or complete them while there. This is fairly important. Your cooperation in attending to this is appreciated. Weather is again looking perfect! See you Sunday.

12.01.2022 A little bit of day one action from the 505 state titles. 3 races in 6-10 knots of shifty SE breeze. Good stuff!!

10.01.2022 All is in readiness for another round of state titles! PVSC welcomes the 505 and NS14 fleets for the weekend. Conditions looking ideal for some great racing; moods ideal for some great socialising.

09.01.2022 Junior sailing: We are due to resume Sunday junior training sessions this week, however coaches are closely watching the weather and will make a final decision on Saturday evening. Please stay tuned for updates.

08.01.2022 What a fantastic day to get our juniors back on the water! Perfect conditions to remember the moves and practice the basics. Hopefully the next few weeks are just as good and our youngsters keep improving as they have done so far this year. Spread the word!

07.01.2022 The inaugural PVSC Virtual Race has blessed by beautiful sailing conditions enabling four races to be sailed by 7 skippers. Once the fleet became familiar with the yacht controls there was good racing. The usual dummy spits, excuses about equipment and confusion which way to round marks were the cause of much mirth. The fleet sailed two races in J70s monohulls and then did a quick change of boat and competed in Formula70 catamarans in the last two races. By the end of the h...ours sailing, all the skippers were exhausted and had a well-earnt beverage on Zoom. It decided to continue the event at 4:00pm next Sunday. All welcome.

06.01.2022 Alan in limbo (while also being in Subic Bay).

Follow the link below to join us for drinks at 5.00pm. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85224123084 Oh, like all reputable sailing clubs please ensure you are in appropriate club attire. See you there. Any questions call Alan on 0402 409 32.

05.01.2022 Juniors had another great day last Sunday. Confidence and skills are developing well. Hopefully our run of good conditions continues.

04.01.2022 CLUB STATEMENT COVID-19 18/3/2020 To all members of PVSC, ... In regard to the current global pandemic PVSC Management Committee have agreed on the following protocols in response to our unprecedented situation. While we are aware that we are unlikely to get groups in excess of 100 to our weekend events, there are several members of our club; sailors and volunteers, as well as their respective family members that are in the high risk category for more serious ramifications of COVID-19. The management committee have made the following decisions in the best interests of PVSC, our members, their families and the sport of sailing. On behalf of Commodore, Andrew Slater, and the committee, we make the following announcements: The remainder of the 2019/20 season will be suspended, effective immediately. Including: o All Junior sail training will be ceased immediately. There will be no Junior Wind-up function. o The Saltwater Classic dinner scheduled for April will be cancelled. o The 2020 Presentation Dinner will be postponed, as will the Annual General Meeting. These will be re-scheduled for a date later in the year. o The racing season will conclude and all results for Sponsored Series and Cup Races will remain as they stand as of March 15th. These decisions have not been taken lightly, and we ask that all members understand that we are acting in the best interests of our membership and their families as well as the wider community. If you have any questions please contact us to clarify. Sincerely, PVSC Management Committee.

04.01.2022 Attention all sailors- a slight amendment to our published program sees this coming week (Sunday 9th) as a series race, but also a cup-race retail for Div 1&3 yachts (not mosquito class). Juniors: well kick off again on Sunday! Spread the word, bring a friend and well see you at the club around 10:45am Should be a great day! Hope to see you there.

03.01.2022 Weather looking great for a return to club action tomorrow after the long weekend and our hosting of state titles. Juniors resume from 1045hrs and Seniors from 1350. Hope to see you all there.
