18.01.2022 When was the last time you cleaned the filter in your air conditioner? Not only do the filters catch dust, but they can also catch other pollutants such as pollen and bateria. If they arent cleaned, they can reduce the airflow and thus reducing the effectivness of your air conditioner, but also moisture and mould can grow. Your first port of call is to check your user manual if you still have it. There should be intructions on how to clean the filters specific to your unit. ...If you dont here are a couple of basic steps: 1) Open the plastic cover (like in our photo) and the filters should be able to slide out. 2) Use a brush or vacuum cleaner to remove the dust that has built up. 3) If super dirty, use some warm water and detergent to gently clean your filters. 4) Fully dry (and we mean it!) the filters and reinstall.
