12.01.2022 Hypnobirthing Australia the course that gave me faith, the course that I teach and the course with true power! Thank you for showing me what birth can look like for women and for bringing hope and so many amazing stories of parents and their birth stories that this to achieve to my attention. I used to have so much fear around birth, I used to have only fear. But when I found out about this course and became a practitioner it was the most empowering opportunity and learning... environment I’ve ever been in. Filled with midwives, doulas and other birth professional we all understood the way birth should be and understood the duty we have on helping support mothers on having better experiences. This course covers so much and really has something for everyone to take out of it to help them in their own personal journey, yet all different, we all have the right to a more positive birth.

10.01.2022 Feeling safe plays a major role in birth progress, when we feel safe and loved we release oxytocin which is an essential hormone for birth. It helps with contractions/cervical dilation, moving baby down and out of the birth canal, bonding, breastfeeding and lots more! When we don’t feel safe we might feel fear, which means our muscles can tighten and restrict as a natural survival instinct when blood is redirected to the defense system ( the uterus not being apart of this ) which can lead to failure to progress, produce pain, prolong labour and cause the need for interventions.
