18.01.2022 It is our absolute pleasure to announce that when we return from our break CHINWAG: Positive Connection will be closing out our initiative with two global icons... in the field of HIV. On , :- :, our hostess Vanessa Wagner is joined by Leading infectious diseases expert, Professor Sharon Lewin, is the inaugural Director of the Doherty Institute. She is also a Professor of Medicine at The University of Melbourne and a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Practitioner Fellow. As an infectious diseases physician and basic scientist, her laboratory focuses on basic, translational and clinical research aimed at finding a cure for HIV and as we find ourselves in a new pandemic, COVID-19. And for our final Chinwag on , -, we are excited to have join us all the way from New York. Bruce is the Founding Executive Director of @Prevention Access Campaign and the "Undetectable = Untransmittable (U=U)"campaign and global movement (#UequalsU). Bruce was honoured for his work with U=U as Healthline's HIV influencers "2017 Person of the Year" and named HIVPlus Magazine "#1 Most Amazing HIV + Person of 2018", and he received the 2017 Partnership Award from the National Association of State and Territorial AIDS Directors. Diagnosed with HIV in 2003, Bruce learned in 2012 that his undetectable viral load meant he could not transmit HIV. He committed to sharing this life-changing information in the hope that people with HIV and their partners will live healthy sexual and reproductive lives free of fear and stigma. : .
