24.01.2022 Start your investment property journey here...

24.01.2022 Like many others Positus have retreated from our new office to the safety of home. It is business as usual although we will not be doing any face to face meetings, instead using video conferencing where necessary. Be well all .

22.01.2022 As we've been saying a while :)

22.01.2022 Investment Opportunity: Private enclave, on the first golf course to be built in 70 years - https://mailchi.mp//investment-opportunity-private-enclave

22.01.2022 Wise words.. Without the arts, we loose the essence of community in all its shapes and sizes.

21.01.2022 One might say that when the market looks like this, the astute believe opportunity knocks..

20.01.2022 Glad they see some sense after all, even if we all had to petition the QLD government :)

20.01.2022 ME Bank - Investment loan, I/O repayments with an LVR of less than or equal to 80 per cent, 2 year fixed rate now 3.38%. If you haven't already it's time to start looking at what you can do to reduce your rates. Start by calling us and we will give you all the pointers you need :)

20.01.2022 Today Id like to share a concern for everyone who own investment property in QLD. In short the scope of the QLD Renter Protection Package during this pandemic is too broad in its application and the Real Estate Institute of QLD are recommending they follow guidelines more akin to NSW. Your tenant/s will NOT have to pay back any rent.... You CANNOT ask your tenant/s for any proof of financial hardship. Your Landlord Insurance will NOT cover you for rent in arrears. Your tenancy agreement WILL immediately extend by 6 months if it expires during the 6 month freeze on evictions. Your tenant/s can REFUSE ENTRY for anything other than emergency repairs. Your tenant/s can BREAK A LEASE with only 7 days notice. You need to act fast.. by next Wednesday the 22nd April.

19.01.2022 Thats a big $ number, I bet it gets bigger... Regardless progress!

17.01.2022 As Ive been saying for as long as I can remember.... For exactly this reason (and a few more) is why I set up Positus!

17.01.2022 Another discovery tour completed, this time focussing in park side locations close to the city. This one is on the fairway of a soon to be golf course, the first new course in 70 years for Brisbane. Happy investing gentlemen :)

13.01.2022 A wonderful virtual tour of one of our recent Brisbane residential recommendations: https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=CoJNM2FgJde&brand=0

11.01.2022 The government really need to think about the execution, delivery and greater effect of their plans before they start shooting their mouths off. It's all the more incredible as the trades have been the only businesses who have been able to continue 'almost' normal work practices over the Covid period. How they could ever choose gets the grants defies logic, as for the repercussions both socially and economically.. I'd suggest this is going to be a Pandora's box..

11.01.2022 Time will tell which pocket they take the deficit from but reform across taxes and regulation is a welcome sight. I've always said stamp duty creates uneven playing field; a barrier to entry for new homeowners and disadvantages for renovators, movers and downsizers, it really does slow the industry down, not to mention a different set of rules state by state. I trust we have some level headed contribution from all state leaders, in many respects it's time we became country, rather than a union of states.

10.01.2022 "Your average punter isnt well-informed and is essentially a herd animal. He or she thinks reading big city newspapers is research, when in reality its the antithesis of research its the gathering of myths and misinformation and the absorption of negative vibes from journalists for whom the glass is always half empty or completely empty."

07.01.2022 We always like it when the research house provide data. Here's some interesting facts from those intelligent fellows at BIS Oxford, recently compiled for the QBE Australian Housing Output report.

06.01.2022 Thanks to Scotty North of Xenium for a great half hour in the hot seat. I had a really enjoyable time thinking back on my past experiences and what Ive learned from them :)

06.01.2022 Brisbane just gets better and better :)

06.01.2022 Much as many first home buyers will appreciate the sentiment saving up to $31,335 on a new $800,000 home and up to $15,668 on a new $900,000 home, equates respectively to a 3.91% and 1.74% kick back. Marketing indeed!

06.01.2022 Gain = $5 billion in annual economic benefit to the region..

05.01.2022 We are very excited to be working on the commercial side of our business. Soon to be announced a selection of strata office suites and studios, and designer light industrial w/ mezzanine offices in Alexandria, Sydney. Ideal for modern day businesses. Perfect for SMSF investors, even better the tenants own SMSF :)

04.01.2022 We rather think your new tenant will be very at home relaxing by the pool at our latest recommendation.

03.01.2022 One of the best articles I've read in a while about "loss aversion" brought on by too much noise and opinion in the media and of course all the bad news click bait. I was going to write a similar piece but thankfully now I don't have to thanks to Shane Oliver of AMP. Regardless of what you invest in, this is mustard :)

02.01.2022 Seems appropriate with tomorrows game :)

02.01.2022 For those that need reminding and a pointer to why we always recommend buying a new property when looking to claim depreciation.
