18.01.2022 Over recent months I have been getting more and more requests for television commercials. Previously, my experience with television basically entailed creating an advert and supplying it to the station, at which point the station would complete the works and make them broadcast ready. I found this process double handling, and started investigating the possibility of PotatoGraphick offering the complete service from filming and production through to classification and final ap...proval. I also found myself facing a whole new plethora of challenges, as the standards for getting adverts on television and within broadcast standard are highly regulated and extremely stringent. It was a steep learning curve, but I now have a solid understanding of what is required to meet these standards. Thanks to Nuts About Fruit for being my guinea pig while I worked through what was needed. This is the first TV commercial which PotatoGraphick have successfully created for this medium, with a number of other commercials currently in the works. 16.01.2022 I often find myself explaining to business owners how advertising techniques have changed over the years, and although they are taking a bit longer to get there in rural areas, it still very much rings true. To create a successful marketing campaign, it really is necessary for you to step outside of your comfort zone, and if done well, your audience will share it for you. The following video is an example of an advertising campaign which has been executed exceptionally well, while tackling a product which would generally be considered a difficult to sell item.

06.01.2022 CASTING CALL: Calling all actors, both aspiring and experienced. We are currently seeking actors to fill a small number of roles for a commercial which is being filmed for WinTV promoting the Renmark Hotel. Whether you are a seasoned professional or simply have an interest in acting, we would like to hear from you.... For this commercial we require the following key roles: 2 male roles, preferably between the ages of 18 - 24. 1 Female role, preferably between the ages of 18 - 22. 1 Male role, preferably between the ages of 30 - 36. Additionally, we are also seeking people who would be interested in performing as extras during filming. You will be required to attend an audition on the afternoon of Saturday the 16th of September where you will be required to read a favoured passage or script. We will advise of available audition times and details as numbers allow. Your wonderful acting services will then be required for a filming session on the evening of Wednesday the 20th of September in Renmark between the hours of 6pm to approximately midnight, as such you will need to be available on this date to be successful in securing a role. Principal roles in this production are paid, which will be discussed during the audition process. Our aim is for this style of advertising to become the benchmark in the Riverland, and we look forward to building relationships with experienced and budding performers to fulfil this and similar roles moving forward. 05.01.2022 Working with Yates Electrical Services has given me opportunities to really expand my skills. Having not done a great deal of work previously with videography, I'm having a lot of fun creating interesting videos. This is the latest to go up on the YES page, showcasing the new Solar Farm recently constructed in Sunlands, South Australia.
