Rhi here from The Plant Lounge at 8 Station Street Nundah After a break in, roadworks closing our street for two weeks and now Brisbane City C...ouncil telling us we cant put our business signage on Sandgate Road Im not sure what else the universe will throw at us We really rely on foot traffic and word of mouth as we are a niche market and as a small business in its first 12 months, I cant afford lots of paid advertising. So PRETTY PLEASE come for a visit or tell your friends about us! We have a gazillion plant and pot combinations for your indoor spaces and we can help you choose a gift, pot it up at the store and see you on your way! 06.01.2022 Ahhh 2019. SHARE THIS IF YOU CARE; That full moon got me good last night. I finally have an opinion and strong values because Ive come out of the most turbulen...t mental health year of my life. To be completely honest with the world Ive hospitalised myself 3 times. My experience has made me think were truly in another Great Depression full of suppression but were all too scared to admit, especially online. Statistics dont lie, were all a little bit mentally ill. Just a heads up; Please just unfriend or unfollow me if you have an issue with it. I started to look at the words on my SOCIAL MEDIA by teaching my beautiful grandparents over the weekend a simple skill; to not be afraid of technology. Its just a tool, our phones are so smart now, its not just a tool for communication anymore. Its encouraging us to support each other, create communitys, respect each other to buy swap and sell and to teach each other skills. To me, the last 10 years of the communication era has developed our phones into just a glorified mini computer, calculator and camera. Put more simply, our phone is just a Swiss Army knife for this generation, a tool to stop the years of fighting and war if we use it correctly and collaboratively. This year Ive realised that I have the choice now, not media companys its all in our hands. You finally can control and share your values to your friends its called having an opinion. You can have a good one or a bad one but people will always disagree because humans have a competitive nature. Be brave, put it out to the universe, if you dont have an opinion or faith in anything Ive realised that you just dont care enough. If you dont believe in the positive news that Im sharing you can take it away at the click of a button. I stopped caring about others opinions and views so that I could share mine. Pls remember if you boo, youre showing me that you care. Ive been practicing showing kindness and respect to others in real life and online. When others are looking and when Im alone too. Remember: Cyber bullies are the weakest of them all because they cant even say their opposing values to your face. Figure out what you care about and make those people your friends. Dont come crying to me because Im sharing educational news that align with my beliefs ..
