25.01.2022 In Trust Chris Hammer creates a microcosm of secrets, scandal, and skulduggery enmeshed in the threat of constant violence. In his hands, Sydney becomes a city of shadows; a place where menace lies around every corner, and dark intentions brew within every building. Chris dropped in to sign copies of his latest crime thriller (and grab a snap with our resident ‘King of Crime!’) Grab one while you can!

21.01.2022 Anna has been reading (and loving) Kevin Kwan’s latest novel Sex and Vanity - here’s her review - Rich gorgeous young people doing their thing from New York to Capri. Kevin Kwan brings together decadent parties, unrequited love, an interfering mama and an abundance of designer shopping to create an unputdownable adventure. For those familiar with Kwan’s brand of social satire you are in for a treat and for the novices get ready for a purely escapist frolic in the lives o...f the super rich and frivolous. We’ve got a big pile of copies in store ready for pick up or delivery #pottspointbookshop #kevinkwan #sexandvanity See more

16.01.2022 Simon fresh from his debut on Radio National’s Bookshelf with Kate Evans, Cassie McCullagh and Nicole Abadee. They had a lovely and entertaining discussion about Anne Tyler’s Redhead by The Side of the Road, Curtis Sittenfeld’s Rodham and Noise Dolan’s Exciting Times. You can listen to the podcast on the ABC app. We are justifiably very proud of him. @penguinbooksaus @hachetteaus @nicoleabadee

11.01.2022 Hello everyone, As New South Wales health authorities continue to monitor Potts Point as a COVID-19 infection hotspot, as an act of supreme caution, for the health and safety of our staff and customers, we have decided to cancel the two regular book club meetings scheduled for August 3rd and August 10th, and the Crime Book Club on August 4th. A number of restaurants and cafes in Potts Point have voluntarily shut their businesses until the end of the week as a precaution, or ...reverted to takeaway only for a period of time. We are a close-knit community that gathers together in good times and bad, and we want to play our part in stopping the spread of this virus. By cancelling our book club meetings in August, we believe we are playing a role in this community-wide effort. As the saying goes: better safe than sorry. We want to make it clear: none of us have displayed, or are displaying symptoms. This act is purely precautionary. Your health, safety and wellbeing is our top priority closely followed by recommending great books for these strange times. We will make clear our intentions for September's Book Club meetings at a later date, when the situation is clearer. Best wishes, Anna, Naomi and Simon
