22.01.2022 Dear Club Members, As the community continues to work through current COVID-19 restrictions, there are still a number of questions being raised about a return to the 2020 season. 1) JUNIOR AND SENIOR COMP ... Firstly, a massive thank you to all senior and junior comp teams in implementing a safe and coordinated approach to training. All teams have been more than accommodating in abiding by the current return to training guidelines. Whilst yet to be confirmed by FFNC, it is anticipated the seasons for both junior and senior comp teams will be set to commence on the weekend of the 24th July. PBFC will let you know when we have more info. 2) MINIROOS + REGISTRATION As mentioned in earlier posts, a 10 game Miniroo season has been confirmed to commence on the 25th July and run until the 26th September. PBFC has decided to withhold team lists at this stage until there is stability in the registration process. There are still a number of requests for both player registration and de-registration in the Miniroos age groups. As a result, a deadline of the 18TH JUNE has been decided by the club to finalise your registration across all ages. Please inform the club ASAP if you wish to deregister or register. 3) PROSKILLS Regretfully, due to the shortened season, the club has decided to cancel the PROSKILLS program for the remainder of the year. For those that have paid, PBFC will soon be in contact via email regarding the reimbursement of fees. 4)FEE ADJUSTMENTS The club is currently reviewing the fee structure based on the reduced 2020 season. Fees will adjusted across all grades and take into consideration Active Kids Voucher, association discounts (FFA, NNSWF & FFNC) & club component/finances. You will receive this information as soon as possible in order to make your decision surrounding the 2020 season regarding fees & time frames. PBFC is grateful for the patience shown in the delay of the 2020 season and will continue to keep you updated on further developments. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the club. Regards Danny Brentnall Club President.

This Friday the 14th of August is our annual Rescue Day Appeal and it's your chance to see these outcomes continue for so many in need each year. 21.01.2022 MINIROOS INFORMATION Miniroos team nominations are in and team lists finalised (Yay!). Thanks to all for your patience. PBFC would firstly like to thank the age coordinators for their time and efforts in developing the teams. This is a challenging and time-consuming role, especially given the large volume of de-registrations and late registrations due to COVID. There have been a number of questions surrounding Miniroos teams, coaches, training and equipment.... 1) TEAM LISTS Final team lists are now available to see on the PBFC website. 2) COACHES We are currently looking for people to fill the coaching roles for U6->U11. If you are interested in coaching your child’s team can you please message/email the club. 3) TRAINING At this stage there has been no decision on a return to training date for the Miniroos. The club is currently following NNSWF return to training COVID guidelines for junior and senior competition teams. Given social distancing and spectator guidelines, applying these restrictions poses many issues with the younger age groups. We are hopeful a change in restrictions will occur very shortly. 4) DISTRIBUTION AND PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT PBFC is currently discussing a revised COVID safe format for the Miniroo’s Day where coaches can collect team gear and parents can purchase playing equipment (shorts, socks and shin guards) for their children. All players will this year receive the new Miniroos playing shirt (at no cost) which will be distributed by their coaches. The date and format of this should be decided over the next couple of days. If there are any further questions, don’t hesitate to message the club. We will continue to keep you updated.

21.01.2022 UPDATE ON BORDER CLOSURES FOR PLAYERS/SPECTATORS IN TWEED SHIRE. Club Members, Those playing AWAY games tomorrow should ensure they are familiar with the new border restrictions as at 1am Saturday morning. ... In summary, anyone who travels outside the Tweed Shire will not be able to cross the QLD border for 14 days. This impacts many of the PBFC community that travel to the Gold Coast for work or family commitments. Players/coaches/parents/spectators that are required to travel to QLD for work (or recreation) need to read the following scenarios as they apply to you and your family. SCENARIO 1 I live in the Tweed Shire and want to watch my daughter play football in Lennox Head on Sunday. Can I go to my job on the Gold Coast on Monday? Border zone residents can travel to the Gold Coast for work. You will need to have a valid border declaration pass to travel to the Gold Coast. HOWEVER, you must not have travelled to an area in New South Wales outside of the border zone in the 14 days prior to entering Queensland. For example, you cannot watch football in Lennox Head on the weekend and then attend work on the Gold Coast on Monday. SCENARIO 2 Can I go to Byron Bay for the weekend to play football before travelling to the Gold Coast to visit family? No, Byron Bay is a declared COVID-19 hotspot. If you travel to Byron Bay you will not be able to return to Queensland via road. You will be turned away at the border and required to drive to an airport to fly into Queensland or have to arrange alternative accommodation in New South Wales. SCENARIO 3 As a parent, if I stay at home (as I work in QLD) and my child plays football in Byron Bay this weekend, is it okay that my child car-pools with another parent? Yes. However, if you plan on taking your child to QLD sometime soon, think again! Everyone, including children, must quarantine in government arranged accommodation if they have travelled outside the Tweed Shire and plan to cross the border. You will need to quarantine with your child in the accommodation, at your expense. If you have other children that you are caring for, they will need to quarantine with you unless you can make other arrangements for them to be cared for. SCENARIO 4 Can I play a Pottsville home game vs Ballina this weekend and still travel to the Gold Coast for work on Monday? At this stage an individual may come into contact with an individual from outside the border zone and still be permitted to travel to QLD. Example I can play against Ballina at Pottsville this Saturday and still go to work in QLD on Monday PBFC does encourage the use of the COVID SAFE app to track movements should a case arise in the club. Thanks for your cooperation. Players/coaches/parents/spectators that are required to travel to QLD for work (or recreation) need to read the following scenarios as they apply to you and your family.

20.01.2022 Please read the following directive: This means No Grandparents, Aunties, Uncles or friends. One caregiver per junior player only... NSW GOVERNMENT CHANGES TO COMMUNITY FOOTBALL... EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY. Over the past week, there has been a rise in case numbers of COVID-19 throughout Victoria and New South Wales. As such, late yesterday the NSW Government requested the sporting community take all reasonable steps to reduce the risk of infection through minimising the number of spectators attending community sport. So in addition to maintaining good hygiene, on behalf of our Clubs and Football Community, we ask all participants, particularly spectators, to take onboard the following measures: Where possible, have just one parent/carer accompany each junior participant to training or matches wherever practical and only essential participants should attend Senior Matches; All spectators maintain 1.5m social distancing from one another at all times; DO NOT ATTEND ANY FOOTBALL ACTIVITY if you have visited Victoria or any of the reported case locations listed on the NSW Health website (https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates ) within the last 14 days. You may return to football following 14 days since your visit, as long as you have not and do not show any symptoms. DO NOT ATTEND ANY FOOTBALL ACTIVITY if you display any of the symptoms below: By listening to the advice of authorities and cooperating with our hard-working volunteers, we can ensure football continues in a safe environment for Season 2020.

19.01.2022 END OF SEASON PRESENTATION NEWS Good luck to all teams over this final weekend of fixtures. 16.01.2022 NSW CHIEF MEDICAL HEALTH OFFICER COVID UPDATE PBFC Members Earlier today, Dr Kerry Chant PSM, Chief Health Officer from NSW Health has issued an update with respect to community sport in New South Wales.... Please review the information below and pay respect to the requirements as they affect yourself as a player, official, parent or spectator. These requirements include: Avoid carpools or bus travel with people from different household groups where possible; Limit spectators to one parent only, where the child requires parental supervision during the sporting activity. Cease activities that result in the mixing of participants and staff from different regions, for example by ceasing zone, regional or state championships or competitions; Cease any activities that result in overnight stays (e.g. multi-day training camps) due to increased risk of COVID transmission in residential-type settings with shared facilities; Cease face-to-face social activities relating to community sports (e.g. award ceremonies, end-of-season social gatherings, post-training group dinners); PBFC has developed a COVID-19 Safety plan in accordance with FFNC directives. Whilst we realise that adhering strictly to COVID guidelines in a community sport setting is clearly difficult, it is asked that during training times and game days that visitors to the club do their best to: - Socially distance themselves and family members from others - Follow signage as indicated around the clubhouse - Use the COVID Safe app and sign in using the QR code - Pay respect to members of the community by abiding by these rules and exercising common sense Thanks

15.01.2022 UPDATE ON TRAINING RESTRICTIONS PBFC would like to remind members of their responsibilities in line with current NNSWF COVID training guidelines. Last weekend, restrictions were lifted to allow training groups of 20 (previously 10). This now allows teams to train as a whole rather than split groups, which is great news! Unfortunately, all other restrictions still apply. In particular: Maintaining physical distancing ... NON-CONTACT training activities (no games) PBFC understands the inconsistencies surrounding social distancing measures throughout the community. However, it is the responsibility of PBFC and its members to ensure COVID guidelines are being met. PBFC asks that you respect the club’s requests in following NNSWF training guidelines until we have word on restrictions being further lifted. Regards Danny Brentnall Club President

PBFC cannot over-state how important it is for everyone to comply with game day requirements during these uncertain times. Outlined below is a summary of key requirements as directed by NNSWF that should be followed on game day. All Spectators Only one parent/carer should accompany a junior participant to training or a match wherever practical and only essential participants should attend Senior matches. All spectators must maintain 1.5m social distancing from each other at all times. Any participant including, however not limited to spectators, club officials, volunteers, players, coaches who has visited Victoria or any of the reported case locations listed on the NSW Health website (https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates ) must not attend or partake in football, training, match days or otherwise until 14 days after their last visit. Coaches/Managers/Players 1. NO player signatures on match sheets and limited handling of match sheets; 2. NO wearing bibs (unless they are not being shared); 3. NO swapping playing shirts (eg when a goalie is replaced during a game); 4. Limited and necessary use only of change rooms; 5. Essential people only at grounds/venues; PBFC strongly suggests reviewing the COVID Game Day Safety Plan (attached and emailed) as it applies to players, coaches, managers, volunteers and spectators. You can also check out the following link: https://northernnswfootball.com.au/return-to-play-portal/ Please take notice of signage around the club and respect requests as provided by duty officials and club volunteers. In advance, PBFC thanks everyone in complying with club requests over the coming weekend. We hope that we can proceed through the next ten (10) weeks without further disruption and everyone is asked to be vigilant and use common sense. Regards Danny Brentnall Club President

03.01.2022 Please help us! If you see children hanging/climbing/swinging on the goals/nets could you please ask them to stop. Whether they are your own children or someone else’s. Not only is it a safety issue but it also takes hours to get all the nets onto the goals as well as when they are treated like this they break & they cost a lot of money to replace.

02.01.2022 Dear Club Members, GREAT NEWS ON THE TRAINING FRONT! NSW Office of Sport has today announced restrictions to training will be eased as of this Saturday 13th June. This announcement will enable sport and recreation organisations to expand to groups of 20 (previously 10) for outdoor, non-contact training activities, whilst still maintaining physical distancing.... What this means for PBFC is that senior and junior comp teams can return to full team training. However, the NNSWF return to training guidelines still need to be maintained with respect to training arrival, hygiene, spectator and social distancing measures. PBFC again thanks all involved for their cooperation.
