25.01.2022 Josie R. "Such a great product- makes having a puppy in an apartment so much easier and my puppy loves it!"

25.01.2022 Always praise Your dog wants to please you so positive toilet associations are a good way to get those #1s and twos in the right spot every time

25.01.2022 Where do you keep your Potty Plant? Ideally outdoors on the balcony or courtyard so the grass gets a chance to breathe and dry out from all the moisture your dog's pee add. Keeping your Potty Plant out of the rain will keep the grass fresh and prevent it from getting waterlogged If you don't have an outdoor spot, placing it indoors is totally fine as long as you are on a weekly grass change

24.01.2022 Do you use the lead at home with your puppy? Here are 3 benefits to using a lead at home when training. @ Sydney, Australia

24.01.2022 Will the Potty Plant fit my big boi/gurl? We have so many big bois and gurls using the Potty Plant! Swipe to see them Of course there are some large breeds that might struggle to aim for the Potty Plant once they take their toilet training wheels off and reach adulthood. Generally speaking these 50kg+ doggos tend to live with big backyards anyway and just need the Potty Plant for the initial toilet training just like big Kev here. ... Its crucial to have a toilet close by the area your puppy spends most of his day in. For eg. a play pen. Yes a backyard is fantastic, but you need to get there in time as soon as your puppy needs to go. And this is where the Potty Plant helps @ Sydney, Australia

Your puppy is not restricted at home by a playpen, crate or lead. ... 3. Your puppy destroys all the pee pads 4. You expect your young puppy to do the right thing and remember to go to the toilet every single time. 5. Your puppy pees next to the toilet 6. Youre not keeping track of your puppys pee and poo schedule 7. You dont take your puppy to the toilet by the lead and remind her to pee/poo 8. You overexcite your puppy at home 9. You dont use the lead at home 10. Youre not toilet training your puppy on real grass @miss.maple.dood absolutely killing toilet training with her Potty Plant

23.01.2022 Are you on top of your puppys pee/poo schedule? Like actually being proactive in taking your puppy to the right place at the right time. Puppy toilet training may sometimes feel like a mystery because it seems like sometimes they get it and sometimes they just dont. Let me demystify it for you... 1. Take your puppy to the Potty Plant by the lead after waking, eating, drinking and playing ... 2. Wait for puppy to pee and or poo (depending if he ate earlier) and praise once the grass has been used. SWIPE FOR VIDEO OF THIS 3. You will have a little free time where you can just relax for a bit and puppy can walk around the place seeing he just emptied his bladder and bowels. But dont relax for too long because he will need to go again soon after. 4. Keep a pee and poo diary to keep track of when to expect the next pee and 5. You know that free time I mentioned above? That ends and the. You have to think of how to make sure your puppy isnt in the wrong spot at the wrong time. How will you do this? 22.01.2022 Want to fast track toilet traning? 1. Create a restricted area in your house for your puppy to hang out in. This is best achieved by a playpen. Ideally this is an uncarpeted spot because your puppy will have accidents (this is normal) 2. Place the Potty Plant in the playpen so puppy can go there as needed. If you are not setting up a playpen, think of another way you can restrict your pup. Either by tethering your puppy close to you or crate traning. Keep in mind thes...e two methods require you to be there to take them to the toilet by the lead. 3. Wait for your puppy to do his business on the Potty Plant. This is best achieved with a lead. If he doesnt pee/poo right away walk him off the grass and walk him back on until he goes. Be patient. He will go eventually. Praise AFTER he pees so you dont interrupt his peeing. 4. Note each time your puppy goes. This will help you plan his visits to the Potty Plant See more

21.01.2022 Why is Potty Plant is the Its basically the same grass thats at the park. Does you dog have any trouble peeing on that? Exactly. The grass is 100% natural. No landfill guilt. The grass goes into your green bin or general rubbish ... Its sturdy. Dogs feel safe hopping on and off to pee/poo without the wobbles Its low off the ground. Puppies and our vertically-challenged fur friends hop on and off with ease It doesnt stink. The grass absorbs the pee and odours so you have to deal with them. Fake grass does not absorb pee and thats why it always stinks... No matter [how] many times you sanitise. The fresh grass replacements are delivered to your door. No fuss 5 star Google rating

21.01.2022 Weve been receiving a lot of questions from customers asking if we are still operating. Its business as usual for us at the moment except for a few protocols weve had to follow. Here are some updates that we thought wed share with you: 1. We now have our own Potty Plant couriers delivering to 99% of our customers in Sydney and 100% of our customers in Melbourne. This means that we can control the time that your grass is delivered in to ensure its freshness. Our driv...ers wear gloves to handle your grass box 2. Our drivers are instructed to buzz your apartment/house and leave your box in the main entrance of your building. If they are not given access to the main building they will leave the box in the safest possible outside the main door under shelter. We are strictly adhering to social distancing and guidelines and that means limiting the chance of our drivers bumping into people inside your building. Please understand if our drivers leave your box downstairs 3. All our staff wear gloves when handling your grass. They have always worn gloves even - times. 4. So far Potty Plant has not been affected directly by government restrictions on business operations. (Most of our staff either work in isolation or from home anyway) We hope it continues that way but we believe that it is our responsibility (as everyone else) to be extra vigilant to avoid taking any unnecessary risks. If we do happen to go into full lockdown we want to be able to provide your dog with fresh grass so you dont have to unnecessarily leave your house. We will do everything possible to continue providing this service. We are very grateful for your support and we hope things can go back to normal very soon See more

19.01.2022 Thanks so much Phillip!! We love what we do and our beautiful customers!

19.01.2022 ? Outside on the balcony/courtyard under cover. ? The Potty Plant can stay indoors, you just need to change the grass weekly because it absorbs pee better outdoors. ... ? No, the grass gets replaced sooner than you will notice it growing. Plus dog pee isnt really the best nutrient to grow grass ? Only spray very lightly once every 2 days in hot weather. If you are on a weekly replacement and your Potty Plant is in shade then a quick mist when you replace the grass is enough. Too much water will limit how much pee the grass can absorb and will cause the grass to stink. See more

18.01.2022 BEST TIP EVER FOR TOILET TRAINING A PUPPY. Why? Itll help you learn when your puppy needs to go so you can make sure he is in the right spot on the Potty Plant. The more times he goes toilet in the right spot, you are helping him build the habit of preferring fresh grass under his paws each time instead of the carpet. This will make the whole toilet training experience a swift one with less confusion. ... So pull out the diary and start jotting down the pees and poos. Its doesnt look like itll be getting much else use in 2020 See more

18.01.2022 Real grass vs Fake grass when toilet training your puppy. Know the difference Dogs develop something called substrate preference as puppies where they stick to peeing and pooing on the surface they did so leading up to around 16 weeks of age. For eg. puppies that were bred in kennels with concrete floors (with limited outdoor access) will prefer to toilet on on concrete floors.... So, its important to get your puppy toilet trained on real grass so he wants to pee and poo on real grass. Making your job a helluva lot easier See more

16.01.2022 Yes, your grass will brown! The second most asked question after puppy- toilet training related ones is: How do I keep my grass alive? ... Simple answer? You cant. The grass is pretty much on its way out after we harvest it. We cut it off from its root supply so its deprived of it nutrients once it is harvested and gradually starts to die while its in the Potty Plant. We get about 3-4 days of the green before it turns to brown. What does this mean in terms of using it as a dog toilet? Well, the colour of grass has absolutely no bearing on your dogs inclination to use it as a toilet. Dogs pee and poo on bark, dirt and even mud so they really dont care what colour it is. It is impossible for it to stay green as dog pee is highly acidic and burns it. So, the crucial benefit of having the grass for your dog to pee on *regardless of the colour* is that it absorbs the pee and pee odours. Its also helping your puppy make that connection to toilet time with real grass. This makes the transition to toileting outside happen much quicker than if you were using puppy pads or fake grass. Please remember it is a dog toilet not a pot plant We get comments from customers that their grass after a week doesnt look like the images we use on our socials. Thats because the pics we use on our socials are sent by customers who have received the Potty Plant within a few days. Things you CAN do to improve your Potty Plant grass experience: 1. Make sure you get a suitable subscription for your dog size. A fortnightly for a Labrador simply wont work 2. Keep your Potty Plant our of direct sunlight otherwise it will burn to a crisp. 3. Avoid overwatering your grass. *mist only* This is the biggest reason why your grass may smell. If youre on a weekly, dont water at all. 3. If your Potty Plant is indoors, a weekly subscription is needed. 4. Our Special Soil helps greatly with controlling odours and does give your grass some food to munch on. 15.01.2022 Help: My dog likes to sleep and lounge on his Potty Plant. As cute as they look, its important you dont allow your dog to sleep/lounge/play on the Potty Plant. It can be really tempting to lie on the fresh grass because a. Its cooling on thei bellies and b. Living in an apartment there arent many natural, earthy smells for your dogs enrich emend so the fresh grass is a treat! As you know dogs like to keep where they sleep clean so if he is using his Potty Plant t...o lounge he will keep it clean and not want to use it as a toilet. The Potty Plant is a set and forget for many of our customers. They literally place it on the balcony and doggos knows what to do and what not to do. For others, a bit of monitoring and guidance is required. If your puppy is laying on the grass, nibbling on the grass, digging the grass stop him in the act Just like you would if he was chewing on your favourite shoe or climbing up on the couch. *SO* many people are getting puppies now as we are spending more time at home- which is great, but please dont forget that puppies need supervision, guidance, boundaries and appropriate stimulation to develop good habits. They are never a set and forget. See more

03.01.2022 How does your puppy’s diet affect toilet training? Feeding your puppy a high quality kibble or balanced fresh diet is essential to nourish your puppy with the necessary nutrient building blocks to grow and not surprisingly affects your pup’s toilet training routine. A low quality diet means more poos because your puppy will need to eat more to get more nutrients. More poos mean more chances your puppy may poo in the wrong spot and we all know toilet training is just mak...ing sure our puppy pees and poos in the correct spot everytime right? A puppy on a diet high in nutrients will absorb most of the nutrients meaning there will be less poo to pass, making it easier on your puppy to hold in. This will help teach your puppy bowel control. Feeding your puppy on a schedule also plays a big role in anticipating when he needs to be on the toilet next because what goes in, must come out! See more

03.01.2022 Where fake grass dog toilets end up. As I did my weekly visit to the buildings communal rubbish room, I spotted a fake grass dog toilet. Why do I visit the rubbish room weekly? Mainly to dispose of my Potty Plant grass and salvage any discarded items that I could give another life to (my dad was a borderline hoarder) Swipe to see what I found today ... This unused fake grass dog loo sitting on top of a pile of trash ready to populate our landfill for the next couple hundred of years. Unused because as you know, its hard to miss the ammonic smell of dog pee. Getting your dog to use it can be a bit problematic. Puppies learn to associate their toilet spot with scent and the feeling of the surface underneath their paws. So if we are training them to go on the fake grass they will associate peeing and pooing with surfaces that are synthetic which will lead to more toileting in the incorrect spot. Whats almost as offensive as plastic going into landfill, is the odour that these things hold on to if your dog decides to use it. Those of you with synthetic lawns know the stench thats produced when the sun hits the spot your dog pees on So before you purchase a fake grass dog toilet because Kmart sells them, think about how effective they might be and where their final destination is.
