25.01.2022 Thank you to Room 4 Pets for hosting a Christmas Tree in store, which displays pet profiles available for adoption in NSW. This store is located in Bondi Junction, with a large number of foot traffic walking by daily. A great opportunity to raise awareness. On top of this, they collected pet toys, medication, food and much more (with the help of the Bondi local community) for rescue groups - Golden Oldies Animal Rescue 2020 & Pound Patrol Check out some of the kittycats who have recently been adopted (swipe left) #bondijunction #fundraiser

25.01.2022 SIMMMBBBAAAAAAA Simba is an 8-year-old Boxer with the heart of a lion. There’s no pushing down his enthusiasm and the typically bouncy energy of a Boxer, so y...ou’ll need to be ready for plenty of kisses on your return home With a comfortable and loving family by his side, Simba lives by the motto, Hakuna Matata (it means no worries). He’s a natural-born leader. He’ll lead you into plenty of games and adventures, wherever his nose points. While others search for what they can take, a true king searches for what he can give. Simba is ready to give you a life of cuddles, love and his undivided attention - unless there are zoomies to be had. If you’re excited for Simba to join your pride, see his profile online at www.rspcaqld.org.au/adopt/search/animaldetails before applying to adopt. AID: 1221736 RSPCA Brisbane, Wacol

24.01.2022 Meet Gretchen, an adorable 5 month old mini #dachshaund who is looking for her fur-ever home! She came into the shelter because her last life wasn't the greatest and as a result she hasn’t seen much of the world and was super-duper scared when she arrived. She LOVES playing with toys, doing zoomies... and would be happy living in a home with a calm doggy companion. She is available for adoption from RSPCA QLD, view her pet profile on our website here: http://search.poundpaws....com.au/pets/1927 BIN0000008333223

24.01.2022 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION Sophie is a 3 year old greyhound that can be a little shy and unsure of new surroundings but when she realises you mean her no harm... she is a happy and funny girl. She doesn't seem to have a bad bone in her body but she does have a few funny ways. She loves her food and her squeaky toys and takes great pleasure in grooming herself by walking up and down the hedges having a good old rub. Whether this behaviour will continue after she loses her fluffy kennel coat I don't know. She is a talker and likes to remind you she isn't in the same room as you. So don't be alarmed if you think her crying is something wrong it's not. She's just like some women that like the sound of their own voice. Sophie can go up and down the carpeted stairs in the house but finds it great fun in not wanting to come back down the stairs if she can get away with it. She can use a doggy door with no problems. She can be a little excitable on the lead when she first goes for a walk but settles after a bit, on going training will help too. Her favourite pastime is sleeping usually on her back with her legs in the air known as roaching. She can't even seem to do this quietly either letting out the occasional moan and groan like it's such a hard life but someone has to do it noise. She would ideally like a home with another medium to large dog and a home with no pocket pets or cats as she is reactive to small animals. NO POCKET PETS ALL GREYHOUND OWNERS MUST ABIDE BY THE GRNSW PROTOCOL OF NO "OFF LEASH" FULLY FENCED/ENCLOSED AREAS WITHOUT A MUZZLE. WE ADVICE THAT ALL GREYHOUNDS TO BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES UNTIL GREENHOUNDS GREEN COLLAR CAN BE ACQUIRED. ALL JADES GREYHOUNDS ARE DESEXED, MICROCHIPPED, HEARTWORM TESTED AND HAD THEIR C7 VACCINATIONS. UP TO DATE WITH WORM/ FLEA/TICK TREATMENT. If you would like to meet Sophie please text Trisha 0422570822 Email [email protected] LOCATION: PENRITH Click link for adoption fees: https://www.jadesdogrescue.com/available-for-adoption

22.01.2022 Happy Friday every-pawdy! We hope it's a good one Enjoy the looooong weekend

22.01.2022 Pet of the Week...FANG FANG is single and ready to mingle!!! The time has come for our favorite feline Fang to find the family of her dreams. It’s been a lo...ng wait for a cat who is as special as they come. Fang, just a baby herself, arrived in our care heavily pregnant. It wasn’t long before baby Floss entered the world, and Fang proved that she was a born mother. Now that baby Floss has found a family of her own, it’s time for Fang to begin her journey into family life and spread her love and beauty. There are a million and one reasons why Fang is so gorgeous and special. The most obvious being that she only has one ear. Having one ear just makes Fang all the more adorable, plus it suits her. Sometimes it looks like she is off to an event in her fascinator, all dressed up and ready to go! When it comes to paw-sonality this cat is all about the love and sugar. Like a delicate flower, Fang just radiates grace and gorgeousness. So innocent, incredibly sweet and gentle, shy but adoring, and a lover of pats and one ear scratches (these makes Fang melt). This is a cat who can do no wrong. We love her, and know that her new paw-son will too. Fang has a little wish list of what she would like her new home to look like...A peaceful home environment where she can relax and be happy. A cat lover to be her servant who is patient and understanding and will love her always. An indoor home where she can be queen of her castle. Toys and fun cat stuff fit for the little princess that she is. A life full of cuddles and love where she can emerge from her shell and let her beauty shine. You may have guessed that we all have the hots for our gal Fang, she is one seriously awesome kitty! She will make an amazing and very loyal best friend, plus be the ultimate house mate! If we had to choose just two words to describe Fang, it would be beauty and grace. And if you adopt the world’s best and most special cat, she will fill your life and home with love. Fang is a female domestic cat who is approximately 8 months old. Fang has been at the shelter since 21/09/2020. The adoption fee for Fang is $194.00. This includes microchip, lifetime registration, de-sexing, vet check and vaccination, worm and flea treated and collar and Council tag. Rehoming Numbers R251000199 and R251000200 #rescueme #fabulousfang

21.01.2022 *** Applications Closed Kaiser Mini Smooth 19 Months Mango Hill, Qld Desexed, Microchipped, Vaccinated 5.7 kg... Kaiser is an anxious dachshund that requires a quiet home with constant company. His family currently have major building works going on that are making Kaisers life miserable. He really doesn’t enjoy busy places with lots going on. Kaiser has been to puppy school and training and likes to please. He is a very lovable boy who likes nothing more than snuggling for tummy rubs but has the typical dachshund traits where he barks when left alone and will chew due to being anxious. This dear boy would ideally like to live with another dachshund to show him the ropes and where his family are retired or work from home so he is not left alone. If you meet the criteria above and are interested in providing Kaiser with a forever home, please complete the application form on our website or if you have any questions, please email: [email protected] *Please note* We will not be flying any dogs during COVID-19 restrictions due to delays and uncertainties surrounding flights* Adoption fee: $600 Microchip Number: 991001003102037 -------------------------------------------------------------------------- *PLEASE READ* We really appreciate your passion and love for dachshunds and all your shares and tags but please ask yourself if your comments are going to help or benefit before posting. Please remember that owners do not take the brave decision to rehome their dachshunds lightly, or necessarily have a choice to do so. Posting abusive comments only serves to harm other dachshunds as owners will be too afraid to surrender their dogs to us if they require rehoming. This will potentially result in a life of misery, dachshunds going to the pound, inappropriate homes or worse. Thanks for your support and understanding.

21.01.2022 AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION Meet Rambo our 3 year old Blue Amstaff. Rambo will need a very experienced dog owner/owners. Being a larger breed, he is super stro...ng on the leash. Rambo is also very dog reactive so walking him is not easy. His Wonderful carers have been working really hard with his reactivety but he just isn't good with other dogs. He is however the most amazing loyal doofous with his humans, he is affectionate and loving. He is fully toilet trained and does well when left alone for a few hours. He doesn't chew, destroy or bark. He is a pretty relaxed boy! Rambo would suit a home with a large fully fenced yard. Rambo's ideal home would be a home with a large yard/garden in a quiet/semi-rural area, a place that doesn't have many dogs out walking. Due to his strength NO small children. Teens and older kids are fine (Over 12 years of age) Rambo sleeps indoors but enjoys his garden during the day. He absolutely loves doing zoomies and having a dog pool during the day, with access in and out of the house. He is NOT and outside dog, he is used to sleeping inside on his bed. So please don't apply if you are wanting an outside dog. Rambo is a rather low energy dog, loves to bask in the sun all day. He can be Boisterous and a bit excitable when he first sees you. He acts like apuppy and can be a little nippy, he does get over it very quickly though and soon settles. He just loves his human company so much, it's a happy time when they return. Rambo would also really benefit from a trainer/behaviourist to try to work on his reactivety to other dogs. Having neighbours with dogs may not work either. Rambo is a beautiful boy and in the right home he is going to do really well. He loves his humans and he is very motivated, making training easy. He can Sit, go to bed, wait for food, check (high five, givepaw) No children, teenagers ok (from 12) Must be only dog Preferable only pet Large yard/garden in a quiet/semi-rural area Indoor area for him to sleep in Would highly benefit from professional training If you would like to meet Rambo please text Text Kerrin 04 1821 8582 or Jo +61 401 900 696 Trisha 0422570822 You can also DM message here. 15.01.2022 APPLICATIONS CLOSED ADOPT BLOSSOM AND BUTTERCUP Age: Blossom - 4 years / Buttercup 7years... Breed: Bichon Frise Location: Sydney Blossom and Buttercup are two incredibly sweet, super cute fuzz balls who came from a puppy farm raid. They have some scars from their past but have proven to be strong, sassy females who continue to improve each day. Quite shy, these two girls will need a special home that will continue to help them on their journey. Please read carefully the following criteria and if you believe you might be the right fit for Blossom and Buttercup Blossom and Buttercup are best suited to a quiet home with no children. They prefer a super chill environment where they can relax and put their paws up. Blossom and Buttercup need a home with a yard, they are not suited to apartment living and as they are still getting the hang of going on walks they need a safe space to roam around and forage in the garden. A family committed to giving them time to settle and learn the lay of the land. They will need continuing force free training, particularly house training which they are getting better with but are not 100% there yet. Regular grooming is an absolute, anyone with Bichon experience knows that their curly coats need regular brushing and a trip to the parlour every 6-8 weeks. Access inside always! The girls enjoy their creature comforts and this means access inside, on the couch, all the good stuff. They’re probably best suited to be the only dogs in the home, they’re so bonded another dog may just end up being a third wheel and nobody likes to be on the outer. Blossom and Buttercup need someone with dog experience, coming from a neglectful past means they have some confidence to build and things to learn. They are best suited to a family that have a good idea about nervous dogs. Location: Sydney. Blossom and Buttercup will only be rehomed in NSW or the ACT. If you meet the above criteria and think Blossom and Buttercup are the girls of your dreams, please email [email protected] detailing your home / lifestyle. *adoption fee will apply

08.01.2022 Would you put your dog in an oven? Seems like a stupid question, right? But it takes only 6 minutes to kill a dog in a hot car. And in NSW leaving an animal in ...a hot car ISN’T ILLEGAL. Sign my petition to change that: https://www.emmahurstmp.com/petition_dogs_in_hot_cars Even on cool days, animals trapped in cars can quickly die of dehydration and heat stress as the car temperature heats up to more than double outside. Victoria has introduced regulation making it illegal to dangerously leave animals in cars. It’s time for NSW to make it a crime too. Sign my petition and join the call for the NSW Government to making leaving an animal alone in a hot car a crime: https://www.emmahurstmp.com/petition_dogs_in_hot_cars
