We pulled off an epic shoot with Alex Rydell in one day - and this was the result! It went viral later that year, hitting over 50 million views in less than 24 hours. It was great to see so many familiar faces and to see so many new faces. 01.01.2022 GREATEST HITS of POUND - Track 7 (2017): It’s About to Get LOUD Ok...two of my top 10 POUND moments definitely lived in this year! - The trip to South Africa ...from Los Angeles takes a total of three days. We arrived in gorgeous cape town to the friendly Hannon family. The next week was the highest Buzz I’ve felt in a long time. We traveled around Cape Town in the back of the Hannons trailblazer, hanging our heads out the window, soaking up the breathtaking beauty of the landscape. The night of the Nike class, I was so nervous. This was our biggest class to date, in a country I had never traveled to. The energy that rushed over my body when I stepped on stage could have been enough to fuel me for the rest of my life. Every human in front of us was dancing, vibing, and smiling - I just couldn't believe it. We rocked the stage as the sun went down and to this day it is a visual I can bring back quickly in my head. - Throughout my many years at POUND, I’ve always felt a calm sense that everything happened for a reason, and things would just come to us in a more organic way. One day we got a phone call from a PA at the NBC show This Is Us asking for a few sets of Ripstix for a scene. WHATT??? Long story short, Natalie and I ended up going to set a few days later, trained the actor that they hired to be the POUND Pro - who btw, effing KILLED IT. The next thing we know, we were hiding behind a treadmill as Chrissy Metz nailed Every. Single. Take. They loved it so much that they brought us back for another episode. I fell in love with this perfect series of events because I could not have imagined a scene that depicted POUND and what we stood for more beautifully. The writer had taken a POUND class and experienced her own emotional breakthrough. The entire team watched the episode at my house the night it aired, and as you watched this character who had been told her whole life that she wasn’t enough, struggled with her self worth, and was undergoing an immense amount of grief - just BURST wide open in a POUND class, I knew we had done something right.
