23.01.2022 Hi FB Friends and Family. As you may know our family are currently trying to Help Pete and Olive build a house by selling Honey and bee keeping products. Our go...al for this was to try and raise $10,000 by the end of March. The good news is that we have reached $6000 but unfortunately this will not build them the house that they need. Just this week Cyclone Hola passed over Vanuatu and caused a fair bit of damage. Thankfully I have contacted Pete and Olive and all are safe, but this has been a big reminder of why we are insisting on building a house that will withstand a cyclone. The next big set back is Honey, why you may ask??? Well it’s that time of year when the bees stop producing excess honey . Honey sales has been the lion share off of the total amount raised and it is quite obvious that we not make the target with honey sales or with out your help. Now I am asking you if you can donate to this cause to help Pete and Olive build a house house that will stand up on a cyclone? Yes I still have about 20 jars of honey but that’s all. First in best dressed, pick up is Pheasant Creek, if not sold by Monday then I organise a pick up at whittlesea. You can donate via the links below or PM me for account details. We loose 8% by donating through the gofundme websites, but as the saying goes beggars can’t be choosers Thanks again all.... Cheers Matt, Jess, Issy and Harley. P.S. Could you please share..... https://www.gofundme.com/help-pete-and-olive https://www.mycause.com.au/page/166258/help-pete-and-olive https://m.facebook.com/powbeekeeping/?ref=bookmarks

20.01.2022 Must be something good happening here. Just as the busy bees get to work the same is happening in Vanuata. The Heple Pete and Olive build a house that will stand up to a cyclone is well and truly on the way. Footings and slab are now complete and on to the next stage. The Walls and Roof are an important part of this build as the rio bars from the slab are secured to the walls then the roof to the walls. Such a critical part of the construction.... We are hoping to have enough $$$ raised to be able to complete this part of the construction. HOW CAN YOU HELP??? Yes! By simply sharing this to help get the word out there and attract potential donations. Or simply donate to the Help Pete and Olive Gofundme campaign. Also i still have a small about 8 containers of Honey comb. PM me for details.... https://www.gofundme.com/help-pete-and-olive

17.01.2022 70kg of honey sold in 48hours.....I know this should only = about $600, but again generous donations has boosted this to $1000. It has been a while since I have updated. So this one will be a bit of a longer one. -As mentioned in a previous update, I was planning on heading over to Efate to visit Pete and Olive. My close friend Brad also joined me and the plan was to help or assist building the house, but this was delayed due to the local builder missing his flight home (Isla...nd time....). This turned into visits to local communities, churches, singing songs and discussions on how the local communities support one another durring natural disasters. What an eye opener...... I am certian that we in Australia could take a few tips from the Vanuatu people. I took notes of our trip and scribbled these out in a sort of observation memoir. If you are really keen and would like a copy just PM me your email address. THE HOUSE... Remember the plan for Pete and Olives house was to build one that was going to last and withstand a cyclone.....so attached are some ongoing photos of the progress. The final photo is what the house currently looks like as of last night. With the financial assistance for Pete and Olives house is nearly complete and with only a small amount of assistance required to complete the house, we look forward to seeing the completion in the near future. Stay tuned.....

13.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS... I am heading to Vanuatu to visit Pete and Olive....but the next peice of news is even more exciting. About 4 weeks ago we were about 3.5K short of being able to purchase the remainder of the materials. Now the countdown is on till we head over to assist Pete and Olive. ****With only 8 days till we leave, I am putting a call out to ...all who have children's books and no longer need them and would like to see them benift children in need. There is a need at the local Pango English Primary School that need PREP- Grade 3 reading books. 13.01.2022 Over $6500 raised so far... A huge thanks to all who have jumped on our Help Pete and Olive campaign to help them build a house in Vanuata. We have sold out of jars of honey but still have some comb left. Only just this week we have been receiving some exciting feedback from Pete and Olive in regards to their house build.. It has begun...... Remember that we are still attempting to raise $10000 to assist them to build a house that will not get blown away in the event of a c...yclone. You can still donate to the GOfundme page or just pm us. ENJOY SOME OF THE UPDATE PHOTOS...... https://www.gofundme.com/help-pete-and-olive

12.01.2022 YES! HONEY... HONEY.... OK. Do you remember Pete and Olive from Vanuatu? Well last season we raised total about $6.5K. The total amout was handed over to help them begin building a house. This house was going to be a bit different to most others, as the intention of this house was to stand up during a cyclone. A HUGE thanks to all that on top of purchasing HONEY also donated to the cause.... As you may remember we are looking at a total of $14000 to complete the build. So we are still after $7500. SO once again we are asking for any support to help us reach our goal, even if it is just to share this post or the gofundme page. (below) https://www.gofundme.com/help-pete-and-olive Of course another way to donate is to purchase HONEY. Unfortunately we will be going away towards the end of the week. So for the lucky people who live local and who are either direct a friends or who follow POWbeekeeping or who follow Pete and Olives page then I have a special offer to the highest bidder. 2kg of HONEY delivered before I leave. You have until 6pm tomorrow night (Wed 2nd Jan) to place a bid. Even if you live in another state (excluding WA.) delivery can be arranged and will be posted before I leave. Just head to the POWbeekeeping link below, go to this post and leave your bid in the comments section. I will PM the winner tomorrow. Remember all (that is 100%) of any donations/ HONEY sale go directly to Pete and Olive house... https://www.gofundme.com/help-pete-and-olive https://m.facebook.com/powbeekeeping/

05.01.2022 Massive update.... On the Honey front. Well this past season was pretty much a ride off...only managed about 50kg from all my hives. In comparison last season we sold over 300kg. A HUGE thanks to all that have contributed to help Pete and Olive build their house in Vanuatu,... Although the major contributing factor for Pete and Olive has gone missing, it has not squashed our desire we have towards completing this project. Somehow between donations, small honey sales and the will of God we have managed to raise over $4000. This means we are still 3k short of completing this project. SO once again we are asking for any support to help us reach our goal, even if it is just to share this post or the gofundme page. (below) https://www.gofundme.com/help-pete-and-olive Remember all (that is 100%) of any donations/ HONEY sale go directly to Pete and Olive house... https://www.gofundme.com/help-pete-and-olive https://m.facebook.com/powbeekeeping/
